Some years ago I read of the well documented archaeological find of a hammer head and part of a shaft found embedded in Cretaceous sandstone near London Texas. It was found in stone not clay or soil.

The sandstone in which the hammer was found contained Lower Cretaceous fossils of the kind that would be dated by old earth evolutionists at roughly 140 million years old. Yet it is impossible for a hammer or any human artifact to that old.

Think of it - a hammer found in a fossil bed!!! This ancient hammer is - as we shall soon see - only one of hundreds of human artifacts found in fossil bearing stone.

The veracity of the hammer find is enhanced by the fact that the hammer head is composed of 96.6% iron, 2.6% chlorine and .75% sulfur. Chlorine is nonmetallic and is near impossible to bond with iron under today's atmospheric conditions.

In the days before the biblical flood of Noah, the atmosphere was very different than it is today. (I will mention in passing that the flood of Noah is also described in dozens of other ancient histories and this confirms the reality of this catastrophic event.)

The pre-flood earth was surrounded by a vapor canopy that is described in Genesis 1:6-8. The vapor canopy shielded the earth from the harmful rays of the sun that produce positive ions. An atmosphere with low ionic contamination would allow iron and chlorine to be bonded by primitive metallurgical methods. Thus we infer that the hammer is a genuine pre-flood artifact!

The hammer was embedded in silt laid down during the flood of Noah's day. The silt later hardened into stone. To see an example of this in our own day we need look no further than the eruption of Mt. St. Helens.

The effluent of the Mt. St. Helens eruption has formed a miniature grand canyon that has already hardened into stone. I'm not referring to the volcanic magma but rather to the water borne silt released during the eruption that contained certain minerals that caused it to harden into sandstone.

Stone was formed from water borne minerals resulting from the Mt. St. Helens eruption in the same way that stone was formed during and after the flood of Noah.

Many human artifacts and human skeletal remains have been found embedded in coal seams and other fossil bearing strata that is supposed by evolutionists to be millions of years old. I have in my possession pictures of several of these.

For further documentation of this I refer you to a book written from a nonchristian perspective entitled "Forbidden Archaeology - The Hidden History of the Human Race." The authors are Michael A. Cremo and Richard L. Thompson. Other books on this subject but written from a Christian perspective are "Footprints and the Stones of Time" by Dr. Carl Baugh & Dr. Clifford Wilson and "Why Do Men Believe Evolution Against All Odds" by Dr. Carl Baugh.

In these books you will find documentation of objects such as a hollow metal tube found at Saint-Jean de Livet, France in a supposed 65 million year old chalk bed. A petrified shoe sole found embedded in Triassic rock in Nevada was discovered by John T. Reid, an engineer and geologist. This Triassic rock is claimed to be 213 - 248 million years old.

There are literally hundreds of such finds described in the above books. Some of these artifacts and skeletal remains are on display at the Creation Evidences Museum in Glen Rose Texas.

How do we explain the discovery of human artifacts hundreds of feet beneath the surface in fossil bearing rock formations?

The Bible explains it all very clearly. During the flood of Noah the vapor canopy above the atmosphere rained down on the earth and the fountains of the great deep (subterranean fissures) were broken up (Genesis 7:11-12). The worldwide deluge dislodged trillions of tons of sediment and laid down the fossil beds during this brief period of time.

The earth is young. Earth's age is measured in thousands, not billions of years. Evolution did not have anywhere near enough time to take place. Atheistic evolution is a lie.

The book of Genesis gives an accurate history of early earth! The Bible is God's holy book and we would do well to give heed to it.
