The Law of eating Blood in the Noble Quran
It is forbidden to Eat from the dead, blood, and the flesh of swine.
However, whoever is forced by necessity, without willful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits; then he is guiltless. For Allah is oft-forgiving and most merciful.
The Law of eating Blood is mentioned in Surah 2, verse173 and Surah 16, verse115
The verse 2:173 in different translations
QARIB:
He has forbidden you the dead, blood, and the flesh of swine, also that which is invoked to other than Allah. But whoever is constrained (to eat) any of these, not intending to sin or transgress, incurs no guilt. Allah is forgiving and the most merciful.
SHAKIR:
He has only forbidden you what dies of itself, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that over which any other (name) than (that of) Allah has been invoked; but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring, nor exceeding the limit, no sin shall be upon him; surely Allah is forgiving, merciful
PICKTHAL:
He hath forbidden you only carrion, and blood, and swine flesh, and that which hath been immolated to (the name of) any other than Allah. But he who is driven by necessity, neither craving nor transgressing, it is no sin for him. lo! Allah is forgiving, merciful.
YUSUFALI:
He hath only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine and that on which any other name hath been invoked besides that of Allah. But if one is forced by necessity, without willful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- then is he guiltless. For Allah is oft-forgiving most merciful
The verse 16:115 in different translations
QARIB:
These things alone he has forbidden to you: what is already dead, blood, the flesh of swine, what has been offeredup to other than Allah. but to whoever is forced to eat any of these, neither desiring nor wanting to transgress, Allah is forgiving, merciful.
SHAKIR:
he has only forbidden you what dies of itself and blood and flesh of swine and that over which any other name than that of Allah has been invoked, but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limit, then surely Allah is forgiving, merciful
PICKTHAL:
He hath forbidden for you only carrion and blood and swine flesh and that which hath been immolated in the name of any other than Allah; but he who is driven thereto, neither craving nor transgressing, lo! then Allah is forgiving, merciful.
YUSUFALI:
he has only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and any (food) over which the name of other than Allah has been invoked. but if one is forced by necessity, without willful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- then Allah is oft-forgiving, most merciful.

What if the Quran was the Book which commands to kill 1) the Uncircumcised, 2) the curser of his parents, 3) the gay, 4) the Zoosexual 5) the worker in the Sabbath! 6) Whosoever tries to turn you away from the LORD and 7) all who live in that town, 8) the prophet, 9) all the Midianites, men, women and boys, 10) the Ox and the Owner, 11) the adulterer and the adulteress, 12) who Eats leavened bread and 13) who eats blood.
What the Western Media would have said? What names they have given the Quran in such case?

Does my straight friend like me? (long)
By: Jake L | 26-08-2008
About 6 months back, I met a guy, who was 19 at the time, we started to hang out, and the second time we went somewhere I told him I was gay, which he had no problem with. He was 3 months out of a relationship with his fiance, things just didn't work out. He told me about a month into knowing him that he thought he was bi and couldn't tell anyone except for me. His father is involved with the KKK among other groups of that nature, his family are all ultra conservitive religous, and at the time his father already abused him physically. We starting hanging out everyday and I went through alot of crap with him no thanks to his father. I ended up asking him out, and he accepted. A few months went by, I was falling in love with him. We were taking things slow, and never went past kissing and feeling around. He signed up to join the army, which is something I was really upset about, and that led to us breaking up because he said that he didn't know if he could commit at the moment, and he was questioning weather or not he was bi/gay. We still see eachother everyday since then, still hold hands, hug all the time, sleep together ect., however we don't kiss or anything intament like that. This has lasted for about 3 months now, and he has a 'girl friend' which he continually blows off to see me. Last night several things happened, and he told me he thinks he loves this girl, and then several more things later that night, which led up to eachothers pants being off (which he made excuses for, "i'm straight BUT, ... ), but we never did anything sexual, and he kissed me goodbye last night. He ended up not being accepted into the Army due to a tatoo on his heck, and completely breaking things off isn't an option, neither of us have many people we are close to or can trust, and truely are best friends, which is where I thought it was going to be left, until now...So, I'm now confused, what are your opinions, does he really like me and is too afraid to admit it to himself, or is he really "straight"?
Can antibiotics create alcohol in your system that would fool an ETG test.
By: ckwi | 26-08-2008
If a patient is taking a high dose of antibiotics, could that create a situation where alcohol would be detected by an ETG drug screen? The ETG only detects the metabolites of Ethanol.

I've recently had my blood drawn. There was a tingling sensation that ran down my arm to my fingertips. The Phlebotomist stated that a nerve may have been hit and the feeling should subside. That was three days ago and I'm still having a tingling sensation in my forearm. What is causing this and should I be alarmed?
