Comparative Study between the Bible versus the Quran (24)
Chapter by Chapter and Verse by Verse;
(Chapter 24:1-10)

The Old Testament Verses from 1-10 say that Abraham made his servant swear by the Lord not to take a wife unto his son of the daughters of the Canaanites; although he dwelt among them. On the other hand, the Canaanites welcomed Abraham very much with great hospitality! This verses support the idea of Racism that the Bible encourages it!
The New Testament Verses from 1-10 are talking about Jesus prophecies about the future, all the temple will be destroyed, "many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ", you shall hear of wars, nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes.
The Noble Quran Verses from 1-10 are talking about the punishment of the woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication flog each of them with a hundred stripes (in the Bible, the punishment is to stone the woman to death). Those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses, (to support their allegations), flog them with eighty stripes. And for those who launch a charge against their spouses, and have (in support) no evidence but their own; they bear witness four times (with an oath) by Allah that they are solemnly telling the Truth; And the fifth (oath) (should be) that they solemnly invoke the curse of Allah on themselves if they tell a lie.

Genesis 24 (King James Version)

1) And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.
2) And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:
3) And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
4) But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.
5) And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?
6) And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.
7) The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father's house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.
8) And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.
9) And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter.
10) And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor.

3) And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4) And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5) For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

The Noble Quran:

Chapter 24 in the Noble Quran is composed of 64 verses.
Verses from 1-10 are talking about the punishment of the woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication flog each of them with a hundred stripes (in the Bible, the punishment is to stone the woman to death).

[1] This is a Surah (chapter) which We (Allah) have sent down and which We have ordained: in it have We sent down Clear Signs, in order that ye may receive admonition.

[2] The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication flog each of them with a hundred stripes: let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment.
[3] Let no man guilty of adultery or fornication marry any but a woman similarly guilty, or an Unbeliever: nor let any but such a man or an Unbeliever marry such a woman: to the Believers such a thing is forbidden.
[4] And those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses, (to support their allegations), flog them with eighty stripes; and reject their evidence ever after: for such men are wicked transgressors;
[5] Unless they repent thereafter and mend (their conduct): for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[6] And for those who launch a charge against their spouses, and have (in support) no evidence but their own, - their solitary evidence (can be received) if - they bear witness four times (with an oath) by Allah that they are solemnly telling the Truth.
[7] And the fifth (oath) (should be) that they solemnly invoke the curse of Allah on themselves if they tell a lie.
[8] But it would avert the punishment from the wife, if she bears witness four times (with an oath) by Allah, that (her husband) is telling a lie;
[9] And the fifth (oath) should be that she solemnly invokes the wrath of Allah on herself if (her accuser) is telling the Truth.
[10] If it were not for Allah's grace and mercy on you, and that Allah is Oft-Returning, Full of Wisdom, (ye would be ruined indeed).

How many actual miles did Jesus travel during his 3-year ministry?
By: Jesus' Travels | 19-08-2008
I once heard a radio preacher site the number of miles Jesus traveled during His three-year ministry while here on earth. Unfortunately, I did not write down the information nor do I remember the preacher's name and time of his broadcast. Is there anyone else in the Yedda community who might know the actual miles Jesus 'walked' to deliver his message and perform his miracles? I need this information to embellish a speech I am making on the divine appointment of foreign missionaries.

Islam has nothing to do with those who commit acts of terrorism. Therefore, it is wise to differentiate Muslims (who are exercising this) and Islam. Just as acts of terrorism committed by Christians cannot be attributed to Christianity (like in bosnia & india), acts of terrorism committed by Muslims must not be attributed to Islam or its teachings.
