In Romans six, we learn the foundational truth that when we accepted Christ as Savior we were baptized into Christ Jesus. This isn't water baptism, though water baptism is a symbolic portrayal of this fact.
Instead, this states the Lord baptized us in Christ Jesus. Rodney Howard Browne explains that there actually is no satisfactory way to illustrate this exchange because our infinite minds can't fathom the depths of the omniscient mind of Our Lord God. Yet the first chapter of Ephesians frequently states that we are'in Christ,' or'in Him.' Ephesians 2:4-6 adds the superbly unfathomable clincher : Part of this exchange is that God has seated us in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Our eternal destination is secure!
