Surah 1 of the Noble Quran is called the "Mother of the Quran"
In this article, verses 1:5-7 will are shortly explained. These verses state what all Muslims say and seek at least 17 days a day in their regular five prays. They say: O Lord, You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help; Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom you have favored, not those upon whom is the anger, nor the astray. Amen
-------------------
Short account about the meanings of verses 1:5-7 of the Noble Quran:
Verse 1:5 says what all the Muslims say in their daily prays:
You alone we worship, and
We turn to you as the only One God and we obey you
And from you we obtain confidence in obeying you.
You alone we ask for help
That is to say, we reserve worship for you alone by way of acknowledging Your Oneness and Your Kindness and so on, and we ask for your assistance in worship and in other things.
It goes without saying that if you ask your Lord, the Almighty Creator to help you, you have to know exactly Whom you are asking.
Verse 1:6 continues what all the Muslims say in their daily prays:
Guide us to the straight path.
Guide us to the straight path: that is, ‘show us the way to it’.
Guide us to the established Religion that you are pleased with, i.e. Islam.
It is also said that this means: make us firm in holding fast to it.
It is also said that the straight path refers to Allah's Book, and guidance to this means guidance to that which it prescribes as lawful or unlawful and to the exposition of its content.
Verse 1:7 says:
The path of those whom you have favored, with guidance
Not the path of those against whom there is wrath, and nor of those who are astray.
It is also said that the path of those whom Allah has favored refers to the prophets.
God knows best what is right, and to Him is the Return and the final Resort.
May God bless our Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him), his Family and Companions and grant them everlasting peace.
Sufficient is God for us; an excellent Guardian is He.
There is no power and no strength save in God, the High, the Tremendous.
It should be emphasized that one has to study the history of mankind in order to acknowledge this verse.
If we know the history of those who followed the Straight path of God and their outcome versus those who followed the Straight path of Satan and their outcome, then we will appreciate and acknowledge this verse and will say:
O our Almighty Lord, Please Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom you have favored, not those upon whom is the anger, nor the astray.
Amen
Please answer
All Muslims have to recite the entire Surah 1 at least 17 times a day in their regular daily five prays.
