From 24-7 Christian News. When the waters rise to deadly depths, when problems reach maximum proportion, when your ship appears to be disintegrating board by board and beginning to sink by life's inescapable tempests, God is trustworthy. He guarantees, "I will be with you." he's your anchor.
How pleased he's's to see your religion shine as you help folks. Your'service' may be a pleasant smile, a provoking word, or a listening ear. In different eventualities, God may ask you to sacrifice your time or give freely of your resources. The love God gives you for others will pressure you to make some time for them and not count the cost.
As you pour yourself into loving them, you can discover a feeling of achievement and joy. Serving in Jesus' name also suggests that you are acting in submission to His authority - to clarify, doing things in His way and time. To live out your faith is to depend on the Lord God's power.
Only by yielding to His control can your work yield real non mundane fruit. People will know your religion is real when your actions exalt God and not yourself. As attaches of Christ, we must serve with excellence so that God receives the glory He merits. Watch for God's signals and be in a position to act with a passion to live out your religion.
He wants to develop Christlike personality in us thru the presence and power of the Lord God. This call to sanctification is given to each Christ-follower, and at its heart is the plan for the supporter to be'set apart.' the Lord God Almighty enables us turn from our old styles of action and angle to give ourselves fully to the Lord.
A life of surrender asserts,'Lord, whatever you want, whenever, wherever and however you would like it, my answer is yes.'. A willing reply to every one of these divine calls will prepare you for His call of accountability. Scripture tells us that each person will experience a Day of Judgment. For individuals that refused God's invite to deliverance, it will mean rage and perpetual separation from the Lord.
For supporters, it'll be a day in which our answer to God's call on our lives will be evaluated . Only those things done at His direction and in His way will matter when that time comes ; everything else will count for nothing. Daily, God is calling to you, desiring to communicate with you about critical matters.
It is straightforward to lose your bearings in the hurricane. You can not find your way thru the circumstances you are facing. In Luke's words,'All hope of our being saved' is deserted. Those are treacherous moments when we reach the point of deserting hope. At that annoying, gut-wrenching moment, God says,'Don't be fearful, I have a plan.'.
folks facing intense difficulty find it difficult to focus on anything apart from the surging waves and stinging winds. We've heard from the Lord that none will be lost.'. We find stability in tempests thru what God has said. Your disposition will be to turn to another source for strength rather than the Word of the Almighty. The only anchor of stability that may hold you firm, without regard for how intense the gale-force winds, is God's written Word.
All this makes me think about a statement manufactured by one of the standard Jewish soothsayers, which supports the loyalty of Almighty God and His Word. The following words flow from the seasoned hand of Isaiah [*CO]'But now, so claims the LORD, your Creator, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel, 'Do not fear, for I have redeemed you ; I have called you by name ; you are Mine. When you pass thru the waters, I'm going to be with you ; and thru the streams, they will not overflow you'' ( Isaiah 43:1-2 ). 'Do not fear, I have called you by name.' What a great thought. Isaiah wasn't writing of literal waters or discernible streams.
