The Unique Individual by Rodney Howard Browne

Where had he gone wrong? He had taken God at His word, stood before Pharaoh, and repeated-almost word perfectly-what God had ordered him to say. He claimed the right words, at the right time, to the right person, spoken in the proper way. The people he had longed to help ( for over forty years ) were now cursing him for enlarging their difficulties and misery. 'Why did you come, Moses? It was bad before you showed up.
And now you live under that cloud, unable to switch the minds of people who have turned against you. Moses came before the Lord asking those 2 questions many of us ask when we find ourselves under insufferable pressure :
Why? And How? We start by claiming,'Why? Why me? Why now? Why this?' And then we ask,'How? How in the world am I going to get thru this or out of that?'. As one who has spoken those words many times in my life's journey, I find myself extraordinarily electrified by the way in which the Lord replied to Moses.
He never pushes you away when you bring an aching, truthful query that cries out for a solution. Isn't that great of God? Rather than criticizing Moses for asking'Why?' the Lord asserts,'Just you wait, boy. He thinks he's a god, but there's just one God, and he'll find that out shortly enough. For a quick period it will seem to you that he is in control.
After more than 20 years, Jacob once again held the boy he had given up for dead. He could feel the bones across his back as he held the old man in his arms. Jacob articulated the sole fitting thing as quickly as he could control himself [*CO]'Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you're still alive' ( Genesis 46:30 ).
On that day we'll all hear the blast of a trumpet. I know some who expect to hear the agreeable strings of a harp. I am expecting to hear the lonesome whine of a harmonica-because my pa is there in glory, waiting for my arrival. And on that'great gettin'-up morning,' our complete family will be brought together forever in the company of the Lord.
Why? And How? We start by asserting,'Why? Why me? Why now? Why this?' And then we ask,'How? How in the world am I going to get through this or out of that?'.
The actuality is, though, that whatever how dear your memories, it doesn't matter the way you were. No quantity of solid family ties will fit you for heaven. We are going to be able to be grateful for the recording chamber of our memories that keeps us young. But what we need at this significant moment is the deep guarantee that we are His.

Christians accept Christ as their personal savior, confess and believe that he died and rose again for their sin and salvation. The gift through Christ is to have an opportunity to have a relationship with God unconditionally. If the gift is unconditional, why are Christians not experiencing the intimacy of God?

Spiritual Warfare Study: Truth Cries Out

By: catagory987 | 01/01/2010
To understand the battle, we need to begin with acknowledging that we are in a war. Battles make up smaller components of the bigger picture. By definition, battles involve combat between two persons, between factions, between armies and they consist of any type of "extended contest, struggle, or controversy" (Webster-Merriam). As Christians, we are in a spiritual battle of some sort on a daily basis. In warfare, battles are fought on different fronts, for different reasons, and with varying degrees of intensity.
