Tips on How Free Bible Study Lesson Can be Life-Changing

You have something I need. Actually, it's something I MUST have. But there's a problem. You don't know I need it, and I don't know that you have it, or that I need it...yet.

So what is this "something" that I must have? Well, it's called the Truth-- belief in Jesus Christ as the only Savior from sin and death. Stop and think for a minute about how many people you come into contact with on an average day. How many do you stop and talk to about God? How many people do you see on a regular basis and have conversed with on numerous topics...except on the topic of your faith? If believers claim to have the truth that saves individuals from eternal destruction and separation from God, shouldn't there be an urgency to share it? It is a matter of life and death, and a direct command from God: "He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." (Mark 16:15) "Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity." (Colossians 4:5)

Is there anything to help us make the most of every opportunity? I am convinced that there is:

• First of all it's important that you understand the Bible yourself. If you aren't a student of the Word who desires to know God better every day, how can you tell others about Him and encourage them to trust Him? It would be like telling them, "Just know enough to get saved, then you'll be okay." The Bible encourages us to, "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18) There are many free Bible study lessons offered on the internet that can help you know God better. If you've never done so before, I suggest a study that takes you through the Bible chronologically (and there are free ones out there). I think you'll be amazed and blessed to see how the Bible is one continuing story centered on what God has done, is doing, and will do in the world in which we live.

• After realizing the importance of personal growth, you can then take Bible study lessons and pass them on to others. Those free studies that take you through the Bible chronologically are excellent tools to give to people who don't know anything about God or the Bible. Tell them that they can read through and decide for themselves whether or not to believe the Bible (few who go through such a study and see the big picture will remain undecided about the truth), or you can even offer to go through with them to help make sure they understand. I find it helpful to keep a stash of chronological study books in my vehicle that I think will help unbelievers see the truth clearly. It costs me a bit to purchase the books, but when considering the cost, which is greater, the price paid for some books, or an eternal soul?

Recently I gave a chronological Bible study book to someone to help them see the big picture about God and the world in which we live, and was encouraged to hear, "Thank you so much for giving me that book to read! It changed my life, and now I'm passing it along to as many people as I can, and am also reading much more!" You never know how many lives will be changed by you giving away free Bible study lessons, and your own life will never be the same as you learn more about God and share Him with others!

So what's the delay?

With today's acceptance of "safe sex," more and more young people are playing with fire, and are getting burned. Consequences are an after-thought, but it's often too late. By: Aleena Denison | 23/11/2009
When examining kids' church curriculum, I've found that there seems to be a consistent list of objectives. I've narrowed it down to three primary objectives: • Salvation-- The goal is to help children understand their need for salvation • God's Word-- The objective is to teach kids that God's Word is the...

Why are you a Christian Today?

By: Stephen Stillman | 22/11/2009
There has never been a time in the history of the Christian faith in which our faith has been more rudely challenged and tested as it is today. It seems that Christianity has to be on guard against enemies from without and enemies from within it’s own household. It is very relevant to always be ready to make a defense to anyone who calls us to account for the faith that is in us.

The ostrich in Bible versus Quran (1)

By: Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil | 21/11/2009
In the Bible, the Lord God says that:1) the ostrich is stupid and she has no understanding, 2) she is unmindful of the safety of its nest and 3) She treats her offspring harshly. The ostrich is not mentioned therein in the Quran. Yet, the Quran says that the birds live in societies like human beings.
