This is a new series (1-2) of Verse No. in the Bible versus the Quran.
Verse No. 2 in the Old Testament says that the earth was formless, void and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters..
Verse No. 2 in the New Testament says that Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
Verse No. 2 in the Noble Quran says: all praise is due to Allah, the lord of the worlds.
----------------------
Verse No. 2 in the Old Testament is Genesis 1:2
The verse continues talking about the creation of the heavens and the earth, it says: Now the earth was formless, void and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
---------
Verse No. 2 in the New Testament is Matthew 1:2
The verse continues talking about the Genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of Abraham, it says: Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
Again, it should be emphasized that the genealogy of Jesus is not mentioned in the Old Testament but it is mentioned in the Noble Quran; the Quran mentions Jesus many times, in each time it says "Jesus the son of Mary". Nevertheless, Matthew 2:2 says that Jesus is the son of David, the son of Abraham.
---------
Verse No. 2 in the Noble Quran is Chapter 1:2, Surah AL-FAATEHAH (THE KEY), 1:2
The verse says:
And on his authority it is related that Ibn 'Abbas said, regarding the saying of Allah, Exalted is He, (Praise be to Allah): 'He says: laudation is Allah's in that He is kind towards His created beings and, hence, they praise Him. It is also said that laudation is Allah's because of His excessive blessings upon His servants whom He has guided to believe in Him. It is also said: laudation, absolute unity and godhood all belong to Allah Who has neither progeny, partner, helper nor an assistant. (Lord of the worlds): Lord of any that has a spirit and walks about on the face of the earth and also of the dwellers of heaven. It is also said that this means: the Master of the jinn and human beings. It is also said that (Lord of the worlds) means the Creator of all created beings, their Provider and the One Who changes them from one state into another.
In other words, the verse says:
Praise be to Allah, is a predicate of a nominal clause, the content of which is intended to extol Allah by stating that: He possesses the praise of all creatures, or that He alone deserves their praise. Allah is a proper noun for the One truly worthy of worship; Lord of all Worlds, that is, He is the One Who owns all of creation: humans, jinn, angels, animals and others as well, each of which may be referred to as a ‘world’; one says ‘the world of men’, or ‘world of the jinn’ etc.
In conclusion, all praise is due to Allah, the lord of the worlds
Herein, the worlds which is in plural form comprise all the creatures or you can say comprise anything save Allah.
-----------------------
The important issue is that the Arabic word Rab is translated to Lord; although there are big differences between both.
Lord (four characters) in English means:
A person who has authority, control, or power over others; a master, chief, or ruler; and a person who exercises authority from property rights; an owner of land, houses, etc.
Rab (two characters) in Arabic means:
1) The owner of a property
2) The one who is kind towards the other e.g. the mother towards her baby.
3) To care for tenderly
4) To treat with affection and tenderness
5) To keep in existence; maintain.
6) To supply with necessities or nourishment;
7) To support from beneath;
8) To support the spirits, vitality, or resolution of; encourage.
9) To make the thing in a perfect form
10) To cause the increase of the thing, the root of word Rab means make the thing in increase either in number or in size.
-----------------------------------------------
The scientific link between the Arabic word Rab and the worlds:
Worlds comprise man, jinn, animals, stars, moons, lands, gases, microbes or anything save Allah, the creator.
One of the meaning of Rab is to increase the thing.
Hence, Allah told us that He is the owner of the worlds and He is increasing His worlds.
Because I am interested in Microbiology, I know very well that Allah is increasing the world of Microbiology; a fact that is recognized very well by any professional working in that field.
Furthermore, any interested scientist is invited to tell us what is increasing in his field.
