Samsara

In the time of Buddha’s enlightening most people in India believed in reincarnation. In Buddhism as well as in Hinduism the thought about rebirth is one of the strongest components of the two religions. The process of endless birth and rebirth is Samsara and is having no beginning or end. It what way you will be reborn is determent by Karma. The best definition about Karma would be action. Good action equals good karma, and a bad action equals bad karma. If a person has accumulated an advantage of karma this person should be reborn in a better position compared to the present life. The range of different possible rebirths range from the smallest of bacteria’s and minerals to be reborn as a God. There are in fact six different worlds and six different beings one can be reborn in: hell beings, ghosts, animals. humans, jealous gods, gods. Not even the Gods are permanent in the Buddhist belief and them to have to enter the wheel of Samsara. Previous to the time of the Buddha many thinkers and philosophers had tried to solve the eternal chain of rebirth to break the cycle of samsara and suffering. Buddha solved the mystery and his knowledge has been passed from generations for over 2,500 years.
