Who are the Lord' People in Bible Versus Quran, [1] – the Israelites?
Author: Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil | Posted: 05-05-2008 | Comments: 0 | Views: 43 | Rating: (180) (?)
Are the Israelites the Lord' people in the Bible?
Yes, they are.
More than 100 verses in the Bible indicate that the Israelites are the Lord' people.
This fact may illustrate that the Bible encourages racial discrimination.
This also shows that mankind is unequal, the Israelites are the Lord' people while other nations are not!
Examples of the verses that say the Israelites are the Lord' people according to the New International Version of the Bible:
Exodus 3:10
So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt."
Exodus 7:4
he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my divisions, my people the Israelites.
Exodus 3:7
The LORD said, "I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.
Exodus 7:16
Then say to him, 'The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to say to you: Let my people go, so that they may worship me in the desert. But until now you have not listened.

Are the Israelites the Lord' people in the Quran?
No, they are not.
The Quran declares clearly that there is no a specific nation(s) which is the Lord' people. Also, the Prophet Muhammad said that there no privileges for the Arabic over the non-Arabic and also there no privileges for the white over the black except in respect to the Lord fearing. The more you fear your Lord, the more you are close to Him.
Again, in order to confuse, the Quran says in two verses [2:47 and 2:122] that Allah favored the children of Israel. This happened at the time of Pharaoh and Moses when the children of Israel were believers and fear of their Lord.
Also, if the dogmas of the Israelites are the Lord' people holds true then:
What about the Christians?
What about the Chinese?
What about the Japanese?
What about the European?
Etc.
Do not all of these nations for examples have the right to be the Lord' people if they are righteous?
Back to the Quran
Let us read the verse 49:13
The Verse announces that:
O mankind! Allah has indeed created you male and female from Adam and Eve, and has made you nations and tribes that you may come to know one another. This means that you may acquire knowledge of the customs of one another and not to boast to one another.
Truly the noblest of you in the sight of God is the most God-fearing among you.
Lo! The noblest of you in the Hereafter, (in the sight of Allah) on the Day of Judgment, (is the best in conduct) in the life of the world;
Truly God is Knower, of you, Aware, of your inner thoughts.
Lo! Allah is Knower of your status and lineage; Allah is Aware of your works and standing in His sight.
---------------
Verse 49:13 of the Noble Quran in different translations:
QARIB: people, we have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that you might know one another. The noblest of you before Allah is the most righteous of you. Allah is the knower, the aware.
SHAKIR: O you men! surely we have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; surely the most honorable of you with Allah is the one among you most careful (of his duty); surely Allah is knowing, aware
PICKTHAL: O mankind! lo! we have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. lo! The noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is knower, aware.
YUSUFALI: O mankind! we created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). verily the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. and Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).

The Israelites' Plays in the Three Religions By: Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil | 18/06/2007 | Humor According to the Bible, the Lord says: 1) Have you seen what the backsliding Israel had done? she went up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there she had played the harlot, 2) The backsliding Israel committed adultery and her sister Judah played the harlot, 3) Israel plays the harlot
Also, the Bible says that 1) Tamar, Judah's daughter in law had played the harlot, 2) David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments, 3) Stone to death any damsel which found NOT VIRGIN, because she played the whore in her father's house and made folly in Israel, 4) Aholah played the harlot when she was belonged to the Lord! And 5) Aholibah (Aholah's sister, which is Jerusalem) multiplied her whoredoms and played the harlot
On the other hand, the Quran depicts what the first ten Israelites had done to their brother (Joseph) and father (Jacob), they lied and tried to kill Joseph. They took Joseph to get rid of him after convincing their father Israel (Jacob) that they want to play with their brother! The only problem of Joseph in the eyes of the 10 Israelites was that Jacob loved him very much. Also, the Quran says that The Israelites said 'Allah has never sent down anything to a mortal (Mohammad), the Quran replies: 'who, then sent down the book which Moses brought?

Moo Shi.....healthy food choice?
By: Sandy | 22-07-2008
I just discovered vegetable Moo Shi served with pancakes and hoisin sauce. I'm hoping and praying that it's a fairly healthy, low fat meal. Usually, anything from a Chinese food restaurant that I really love is fried, has a sweet sauce, or is heavily breaded. The vegetable Moo Shi was not greasy, and all the veggies were crisp and delicious. The Moo Shi was not listed under "healthy dishes" which consisted on steamed fish, meat, and vegetables (boring!). I'd love to hear from anyone who might know if this is a somewhat safe food to order for someone who is counting calories.
