Unlimited thanks are to Allah who has provided me with health, wealth, power, good family, love of people. However, the most honored thing that I should thank Allah for it is that I am Muslim and I am a descendent of the Last Prophet Muhammad. In this series, I will give you some examples of the treasures of the teaching of the Last Prophet Muhammad in order to realize how much does mankind lost by ignoring His teachings.
The ideal Islamic character is completely found in Allah's last Prophet Muhammad; hence it is wise to take him as the suggested model of the Muslim behavior.
So, if you know Muhammad, you will find out how the real Muslim must be.
It is also mandatory to give some Basic Definitions of what is Islam? Who is the Muslim? What is the Concept of the "Prophet" for Muslims etc?
Literally, Islam" means the complete devotion to Allah and his doctrine.
Islam does not refer to specific nations or to specific races or to specific regions or countries or to a specific person and/or to a special period.
Hence, Islam is the complete devotion to our God, the Almighty Creator.
The fact that most people do ignore is that all the prophets sent by Allah are Muslims and this fact is stated many times by the Quran;
Noah is a Muslim prophet for his people
Abraham is a Muslim prophet for his people
Isaac is a Muslim prophet for his people
Jacob is a Muslim prophet for his people
Joseph is a Muslim prophet for his people
Moses is a Muslim prophet for his people
David is a Muslim prophet for his people
Solomon is a Muslim prophet for his people
And so on are all other prophets and Apostles.
It follows that the linguistic and legislative meaning of the word "Muslim" is:" the one who is devoted to Allah in his worship.
This word "Muslim" makes Muslims live in a completely global atmosphere not restricted to a specific nation or to a specific race or to a specific region or country or to a specific person and/or to a special period, not only that but Muslims considered all the prophets as brothers in their missions.
What is the Concept of the "Prophet" for Muslims?
The word "prophet" in the Arabic language is an adjective from an Arabic word which means news about something important that have honor and respect.
So Muhammad, for Muslims, is a prophet and messenger from Allah who charged him to declare the message of Islam to be the last heavenly messages to the earth; He is the mercy that Allah saved for His worshippers till the end of the life of this world.
Do Muslims nowadays represent the thoughts of the Prophet Muhammad?
To answer this question you should compare between two periods in history; the period when the followers of Muhammad spread all over the world possessing most of it, and there is no question about this fact, and the present period in which the Muslims are a lot yet they are the most humiliated people on earth.
Unfortunately, one has to admit that the people of this period are completely away from the morals of Muhammad and his teachings and wisdom.
The Prophet, for example, forbad lying, bribery, adultery and robbery, and ordered applying justice, without oppressing others, being merciful, supporting orphans and being generous.
Muhammad was the mercy sent for all Muslims and all mankind, as it is stated in the holy Quran "And We (Allah) have sent you: but as a mercy for all creatures "[21:107].
If you read the sayings of Prophet Muhammad and his deed you will be sure that most Muslims today follow Muhammad only nominally.
Do Muslims accept others (non-Muslims)?
Allah's Messenger Muhammad concluded some conventions with the Jewish and hold talk with the Christians, this fact is mentioned in the Holy Quran as Allah says: "Invite (all mankind) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better" [16:125].
So how is it possible to argue others without meeting them and hold discussions with them in a way that is clearly mentioned by Allah: "in a way that is better", i.e.: with no aggression.
Trade has been held with the Jewish, the evidence for this is that the Prophet Muhammad died while his shield was pledged to a Jewish man, but all this is depending on not being a warrior against Muslims.
But, If the non-Muslim fights Muslims or drives them away from their homes or helps in fighting and expelling them from their homes, it is obligatory for Muslims to fight him with all lawful means.
The astonishing thing is that fighting for Muslims has an exotic law that prevents them from killing old man , a child or a woman nor to burn a house or cut down any tree, even Muhammad punished some of his companions (Allah bless them) because they did not apply these rights . Even more than that, Muhammad says: [Who slander one of the people of the heavenly books will be revenged on the Day of resurrection with whips from fire
Consequently, if Muslims understand the thought of Muhammad, they will deal with the non-Muslims in the same way the Prophet did.
In this series of articles, I will give you some examples of the treasures of the teaching of the Last Prophet Muhammad in order to realize how much does mankind lost by ignoring His teachings.

By: catagory987 | 01/01/2010To understand the battle, we need to begin with acknowledging that we are in a war. Battles make up smaller components of the bigger picture. By definition, battles involve combat between two persons, between factions, between armies and they consist of any type of "extended contest, struggle, or controversy" (Webster-Merriam).
