One important rule to remember, is to never spontaneously buy anything for your home, building or remodeling project, because anything that you purchase without careful thought, you are sure to regret. Don't be shy about looking around at other homes in your area that are being built, because this is a great way to get ideas.
If you see a home being built then simply park your car and walk right in and tour the place, because builders are used to this and they wont run you off. If someone asks who you are, tell them you are interested in buying the place but you want to have a good look at it first.
