Here are a few remodeling ideas that you might consider:

• Paint the walls and trim the color(s) of your choice.
• Install new toilet, sink, shower and bathtub.These would be modern, water-efficient appliances and they come in lots of different designs. Some people like the 2-showerhead, 2-person design. You can also get frameless shower doors in Chrome, Brushed Nickel, or Oil Rubbed Bronze.
• Replace the bathroom floor with a more modern design of your choosing.
• Increase the actual size of the bathroom. This is commonly done by taking some closet space in an adjoining room. The end result can be amazing! Depending on the size of the adjoining closet, you might be surprised at how much more space the bathroom will have.
• Install his and hers sinks
• Replace current towel racks with heated towel racks (once you have these, you can never go back to the traditional style!)
• Put in a separate closet for robes and linens
• Install skylights, if the roof is directly above the bathroom. If not, you can still have skylights with false lighting. Dimmer switches can be connected to these.
• Install automated switches. This is just another one of those “little things” that are so nice when done as part of a bathroom remodeling – you walk into the bathroom, and the lights automatically turn on because of motion detection. And no one has to be reminded to turn off the light in the bathroom, because after a certain amount of time they shut off on their own. The lights can also be controlled by a timer to be dimmed at certain hours (you probably don’t want full, bright light when you shuffle to the bathroom at 3 am!).
• Install a laundry chute (if the bathroom has this access to the laundry room)
• Install radiant floor heating. If you want your bathroom remodeling to include a luxury item or two, this is one that you really should consider!
