Floor Warming Devices: The Answers to Your Cold Nights

In countries such as Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia, people are striving hard to avoid the sting that is brought by the coldness of their places through floor warming gadgets.

The electric under floor heating (UFH) products are widely offered nowadays. Under floor heating is a form of central heating that uses heat reduction and radiant heat to control indoor climate warm.

This product is also used in hotels such as Savo, Langhan and Berkeley hotels to maximize the experience on the visitors that used their facilities in kitchens, foyers and bathrooms.  The purpose of this floor warming is to set a mood or make the room warm, just enough heat for it to be pleasant to walk upon.

Other establishments that use this kind of device are as follows:

  • Extensions and conservatories
  • Domestic—individual, flats and district systems
  • Hospitals
  • Education and further education
  • Sport halls and swimming pools
  • Shops and supermarket
  • Office, factories and warehouses
  • Showrooms
  • Museums, libraries and historic buildings

As the popularity of these floor warming products became widely known, the use of this technology is highly favored by most households and are relying on this kind of product because the energy it uses are 25% lesser than those other heating devices. Why? Since the floor warming products will only use the air that is present in the floor, it thus saves energy versus heating the air along the wall, which is being done by other devices. Some people also use this product in the bathroom as well.

If you want companies to install this device for you, here are some of them:

  • Floor Warming Systems
  • Honeywell Floor Warming
  • The Floor Warming Company
  • Floor Heat

Aside from a low start-up cost for floor warming technology, the following points are also considered:

  • No noise
  • Easy installation
  • Low temperature and less energy consumed
  • Thermal comfort vs. radiant heating
  • Space efficiency

Although many advantages are discovered, there is also a disadvantage when using this technology. When problems occur or for such cases, that maintenance is highly needed, there is the need to remove the flooring that covers this floor-heating device. Also, compatibility is an issue. Low insulating capacity for floors and with thick carpet can lessen the heating conversion of the device. Yet, floor warming is so far the best device that can be compared to other heating devices available now in the market
