Guy Liba is an energetic and dedicated young man. Dedicated to training and providing the best project managers TLC Remodeling can offer.

“We strive to provide innovative customer service,” Guy says. “A successful project is one with no complaints or problems when the job is finished.”

He stresses that TLC never sacrifices the work in the short term and lose a customer when at least half come back for more work. TLC is quite specific about the qualities a project manager must possess to pass the test.

“We look for men and women who have a good work ethic and train them to provide the highest quality service for our customers. Our training program is designed to teach every aspect of design, construction and service and then an apprenticeship gives the ‘on-the-job-training’ required to be fully qualified.”

Prospective managers must be fully trained in the products offered as well as the process. City codes are stressed to prevent problems.

“Our managers are not there to sell to the customer, but to explain the process and inform them about what we can offer.”

Guy says it is the project manager’s responsibility to run the job.

“He needs to be in contact with the clients, be at the project at least three times a week to ensure the job is running in a timely fashion and the site is clean with a minimal amount of inconvenience for the homeowner. They must always be available to the customer.”

They must also ensure codes are being met; inspection permits are issued, and handle any unexpected problems that may arise on some projects.

“Construction can be a rough ride with workmen invading a home and the natural amount of dust, ups and downs and unexpected problems. It is our job to be there for the homeowner to hold their hand and guide them through the process. We try to make it as easy for them as possible and our project managers are trained to make sure that is the case.”

According to Guy, customers trust them to have the project finished on time with a minimal invasion to their lives.

“Many leave town during the construction and feel comfortable we are responsible to address any issues that arise and they will come home to a completed and polished new space.

“Our reputation is important so we implement numerous layers of customer service to ensure our clients are heard. We even back up our project coordinator with a field manager to ensure details are addressed and the customer is getting what they want and there is good communication.

“We have a field supervisor to inspect the job in progress. We do surveys while the job is running to see how the customer feels and there are people a client can call if they feel their issues aren’t being heard.

Guy stresses that TLC is a family oriented company. Their staff must be good listeners and care about what the customer wants and needs from any project.

“Each client is their own distinct personality and our project managers are trained to respect and be sensitive to each individual’s needs.”

Project managers must be good listeners care about the projects and serving the customers and be available. They must be detail oriented and on top of things at all times.

“Our managers are put through a rigorous training process because we believe in great customer service. This includes being there for the customer and a “yes sir” mentality. We stress courtesy and respect for our customers because we have a keen understanding of the difficulties of the process.

“Nothing makes me feel better than a phone call from a satisfied customer telling me how much they appreciated the work of our project manager. We are there to make life as easy as possible and guide all of our clients through the process with a positive and happy outcome. When our project managers are doing their job, it makes me feel good and I know I’m doing mine.”

Recent college grad seeks home re-asked
By: Chessmandc | 21-07-2008
Thank you for the answer, but let me explain my situation in more detail.  The plan is to take out a cash advance for the ~$50,000.  With that cash I am going to buy a home free and clear.  The cash advance has a 0% interest rate untill July 2009.  So in essence I am looking at having $50,000 in assets and $50,000 in unsecured debt that I hope to refinance vs. having 0 assets, and 0 debt.  Would some bank be interested in taking a home as collateral to loan the money to pay off the unsecured debt in 2009? (Please see original ? for more information)
