Vinyl siding is a flexible material that is used for exterior wall covering of your home. It is a product engineered using primarily polyvinyl chloride, which makes it an ideal material with which to cover the outside of your house as it is extremely heat, cold and moisture resistant. Vinyl siding also is resistant to high winds and denting.

Vinyl siding is a great investment. Re-siding a home is among the top ten remodeling projects in terms of overall payback. Siding made out of vinyl is free from any maintenance. Don't we all need a little extra time in our day? It is a great way to beautify the exterior of your house and you will find that siding provides flexibility and endless selection.

Adding vinyl siding to your home can be much more expensive than repainting.  Is the cost worth the end result?  These are a few points to take into account.

If you have to repaint every four years, how much will you spend over the next 15-20 years?  This is definitely a good lifespan for quality vinyl siding installation done by certified professionals.

You may be surprised how much time you will save when you don't need to maintain wooden boards by scraping, painting, or replacing ones that are starting to rot.  Maintaining vinyl siding is easy -- just spray with a hose and mild detergent to make it look like new.

Durable construction means vinyl siding resists dents and damage from hail and harsh weather.

Choose from a wide variety of colors, textures and styles to create the look and feel you want.

What Things Can be Visually Identified?

One way to verify quality is to look for certification by the Vinyl Siding Institute.  A siding which is VSI certified, would be sure to meet or exceed industry standards at the time of testing and inspection.

What Choices Do You Have?

Gauge

The thicker the panel, the better, for impact and weather resistance. Thicker panels will also hang straighter and flatter against the wall to look better. Expect to find gauge sizes from an economical .040" to upper level.Have you heard of the custom-sized vinyl siding custom, including one with an extra 48 inches?

Grains

With Grains, you can get a more contemporary and orthodox look. More pronounced grains can give a home a more rustic appearance.

Profiles

Would you like a traditional clapboard style? A dutchlap panel? The old-fashioned look of a beaded panel?  Explore the different influences that different profiles can give your home.

Color

You can pick from an assortment of colors, which will be held better by the vinyl siding and last longer than paint.
