The Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau will launch a new and exciting promotion, Bring Your Own Wine Wednesday (BYOW), starting Wednesday, June 17. This promotion allows guests to bring their own wine to any of the 26 participating restaurants and in return they won’t have to worry about paying a corkage fee. The BYOW program will continue each and every week on Wednesdays at restaurants including: Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Red White + Bluezz, Central Park, Twin Palms, and many more.
A glass of wine is always a great way to complement a delicious meal, and without the corkage fee, it’s a great way to save some cash when the bill comes. If you’ve ever been in the situation where you find it difficult to decide what bottle of wine to order, stress no longer. You don’t even have to glance at the wine list because you can bring your favorite bottle of wine, whether it be red, white, or rose.
Bottles of wine served in restaurants are usually marked up in price, for instance, a $20 bottle can sometimes end up costing you nearly $40-$45 in a restaurant. Unfortunately, you wind up paying almost double the amount, if not more, of what the bottle is actually worth. Before you know, the bill arrives and your $100 dinner is now costing you $150-$200, due to the wine costs.
The BYOW promotion can prevent all that. When you visit any of the participating restaurants, you will dine on fabulous appetizers, entrees, and desserts while sipping your choice in wine. At the end of the evening, your check will only include the food. The icing on the cake is that you didn’t have to spend big bucks on that marked up bottle of wine, but were able to enjoy a wonderful meal complete with your preferred wine.
“This program will encourage diners to experience some of the most diverse restaurants in the city and at the same time enjoy their own wine with family or friends,” said Nan Marchand , executive director of the Pasadena CVB. “In these challenging times every little bit helps and we believe this will attract customers who are looking for value, as well as help restaurants that are trying new ways to entice patrons to their tables.”
The Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau has spend an enormous amount of time and effort putting together Bring You Own Wine Wednesdays. The team, spearheaded by Nan Marchand, has worked together very hard to bring Pasadena locals and visitors an exciting and new event to take part in and benefit from.
The BYOW program is a fantastic idea, especially when celebrating any special occasion. Birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, bridal showers, etc. are all events that can include wine. Now, Bring Your Own Wine Wednesday will help you celebrate your best friends birthday with great wine and without having to break the bank.
Bring Your Own Wine Wednesday occurs every Wednesday at a variety of Pasadena’s restaurants. To learn more and to see the list of included restaurants, go to http://www.pasadenanow.com/main/?cat=59
