Are you always looking for ways to increase your sales? Here are 19 smart sales promotion methods for increasing sales.

1. Right after the first sale, make sure you follow-up with your client. Send a "thanks for your order" email, or letter that includes a promotion for another product you sell. Then, make sure to get in touch with a follow-up every few months.

2. You could try upselling to your clients. When they have arrived at your Order page, you could showcase a couple of related products that you offer for sale. That way, they could just add it to their first order.

3. Inform your clients that if they refer 4 more people to your site who become customers, you will grant them a full rebate on their purchase price. This is a great way to turn one sale into three sales.

4. Give your new customers the option to join an affiliate program so they can make extra cash selling your product. This multiplies the sale you just made.

5. Offer the customer the reproduction/reprint rights to your product. Within the package you offer, you could include information on other products you have for sale.

Sales could be generated from the reprint rights of the piggy-back products too.

6. You could create a package deal where you cross promote your products with another businesses' product.

Include a flyer or ad showcasing other products you offer. These can be sold when the other business promotes their products.

7. After a customer has purchased your product, ship it out, or deliver it with a coupon of other related products you sell.

Since they have bought from you once, this will trigger them to buy more of your products from you.

8. Within the packaged original product your customer has purchased; include a catalog of related add-on products.

The catalog could display special services, attachments, upgrades, etc. If your original product was a good purchase for them, they will buy some of the add-ons too.

9. Provide gift certificates for purchase for your products. Sales will come in from the gift certificate purchase, when the recipient cashes it. Once there, this new customer may also purchase other products from your website.

10. Distribute free products to your customers, such as ball caps, bumper stickers, pens, t-shirts, etc. These promo items should have your ad printed on them. Many people will see your ad, which will drive them to your site to order.

11. Use a "P.S." at the end of your ad copy. This is where you either want to repeat a strong benefit or use a strong close like a free bonus.

12. Publish a free ebook and give it away from your web site or in your e-zine. This will increase your traffic, sales and e-zine subscribers.

13. Create multiple streams of income with your web site. You could sell your own products, join affiliate programs, sell advertising space, etc.

14. Give your visitors compliments in your ad copy. This can earn their trust and put them in a good mood, in return they will be easier to sell too. 15. Create new products or services only if there is a strong need for them. You won't have anyone to sell them to if you don't have a market.

16. Sell a few products on your web site instead of selling a large amount of products. To many choices can overwhelm your visitors and they won't buy.

17. Include content and free stuff on your web site that promote the products you're selling. If they don't read your ads, they may read your offerings. 18. Remind your visitors that you're human not just a web site. You could publish information on your family life, a picture of yourself , a profile, etc. 19. Provide a "Contact Page" on your web site. Give your visitors as many options to contact you as possible. This'll add credibility to your business.
