The Group has an extensive, global reference list and has used its technologies to improve the operational effectiveness of their customers' production processes. Pneumatic conveying solutions utilise controlled streams of air to move granular or particle-based bulk materials through various stages of a production process at a controlled rate of flow. Air filtration systems are used for the filtration and removal of process and nuisance dusts generated from the movement of granular materials used in process-based manufacturing environments. Focused on the innovation, design and engineering of tailored solutions, Clyde Materials Handling has helped generate an array of operational, economic and environmental benefits within their customers' processes. In April 2007, Clyde Process Solutions (www.clydeprocesssolutions.com) acquired, for £43m, MAC Equipment,Inc., a leading provider in the US market, focused on the design, engineering and manufacturing of customised pneumatic conveying and air filtration systems to customers in manufacturing environments, including food, chemicals, building products, plastics, ethanol and biodiesel industries. MAC Equipment's customers include PepsiCo and BASF.
