Custom made boxes are used by many companies for shipping their products as it actually saves money. Think about this, you have a product that you ship in a box that is too big for it. It will move around in the box during transit unless you use loose fill or bubble wrap to stop it from moving around in the box. Custom made boxes however are exactly the right size and therefore do not require loose fill of extra packaging to fill the voids. This in turn saves you money on your packaging materials. Custom made boxes can also help you with branding. Printed custom made boxes give you an extra medium which you can use to sell your product to your customers with.
Custom made boxes have many options. Single wall boxes are the cheapest and give great value for money however for extra strength and durability double wall cardboard boxes give the greatest protection for your heavy or delicate products. Brown cardboard boxes are very cost effective while white cardboard boxes are often used for custom printed boxes.
Recently out is the ability to have coloured custom made boxes made in a multitude of colours. Black, Blue, Green and Red are all now available to make your custom made boxes in. These boxes can add value to your product, therefore increasing the price you can sell your product for and also the amount of sales you can make.
Most local authorities have schemes to collect cardboard and recycle the cardboard boxes, alternatively you can take your boxes to a local recycling bank. If you collect your cardboard to recycle in a cardboard box then you will not have to separate it later.
Cardboard is also biodegradable and decomposes when sent to landfill unlike plastic. All this helps you when your clients demand to know what you are doing to become green.
