Effective interviewing requires that the investigator make full use of his knowledge of human nature so that the interviewee will disclose all that he knows about the matter in question. There are 7 important techniques for investigators. 1.Before have Interviews, what you want to know should be planned carefully and thoroughly to prevent repetition. The investigator must review thoroughly all the developments in the case prior to the interview. At the same time, the investigator must also pay attention to the things what is  related to investigator. The effective interviewer always have rich knowledge about the person to be interviewed. 2.Control over Interviews In an Interviews, who must maintain absolute control of the interview at all times, the answer is investigator. General speaking, if the interviewee use a more formal type of questioning, taking notes, or by aggr essiveness of the investigator, effective results may be obtained Although as an investigator,he has no legal power to force a person being interviewed to do anything what he did not want, he may, if clever, induce the interviewee to disclose whatever he knows. 3.Attitude and Demeanor of the Investigator First, the investigator should make the interviewee feel friendly ,then they can establish a cordial relationship with interviewee. You should be allowed to give a continuous residence when investigator make mental note of negligence or discrepancies, the contradiction. The investigator should avoid a conflict of personalities, the excessive use of profanity, abuse of power or violent expressions such as kill, steal, murder. In a word, the attitude and demeanor of the Investigator must be moderate. 5.Gross Body Movement Examples are changing posture, moving chair away from the interrogator; an indication of being about to stand up or perhaps leave the room. 6.Eye Contact The general rule is to maintain eye contact broken up by definite looks away. Look more while listening, less while talking. Look away when taking up the conversation, look back when handing it back. Maintain eye contact with serious expressions when trying to gain control of a situation. Avoiding eye contact, at one extreme, conveys nervousness and lack of confidence.
