U – Shaped alpine valley formed by the glaciers in Garhwal Region of Uttaranchal discovered by the S.Smith. & M.Mark a mountaineer and botanist in 1934 and named the valley “The Valley of Flower”. The valley is been colored with medicinal herbs and flowering plants. The best time to visit the valley is between mid Julys-mid august. “Hanuman’ of Ramayana collected “Sanjeevani Booti” (Panacea) to revive Lakshman, the brother of Rama.
The upper reaches of the Bhyundar Ganga in the Zaskar Range of the Garhwal Himalayas, Chamoli Districts bounded by high mountain ridges.the northern Slopes of the valley are thickly forested with rhododendron of three color & southern slopes consist with a variety of asters, lilies, poppies, orchids, marigolds, marsh marigolds, calcendula, Daisy, Dianthus and come to “Valley of Flower” and discover the blessed with the natural beauty and God created Haven in Earth .the solitude of valley is a haven for Sadhus who look for a space for meditation.
