"Do you not see" in the Bible:
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
Jeremiah 7:17
"Do you not see what they are doing in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
Matthew 24:2
And He said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down."
Mark 8:18
"HAVING EYES, DO YOU NOT SEE? AND HAVING EARS, DO YOU NOT HEAR? And do you not remember,
"Do you not see" in the Quran:
The Quran used "Do you not see" to talk about four main scientific issues, five historical topics and 11 theological themes
Do you not see and the Sciences in the Quran:
The Quran used "Do you not see" to talk about the Creation of the heavens and the earth, the Sun, Moon, Day and Night, Shadow, the Sky, Clouds, Rain, Water, Plants and the Seas and Ships
A) Creation of the heavens and the earth
Surah 14:19
Do you not see that Allah has created the heavens and the earth with truth? he can put you away if he will and bring into being a new creation;
Surah 22:18
Do you not see that to Allah prostrate all who are in the heavens and all who are in the earth, the sun and the moon, the stars and the mountains, the trees and the beasts, and many people? and many deserve the punishment. he who is abased by Allah has none to honor him. Allah does what he will
Surah 24:41
Do you not see how Allah is exalted by those in the heavens and earth, and the birds with outspread wings? He knows its prayers and its exaltations and Allah has knowledge of the things they do.
Surah 31:20
Do you not see how Allah has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and the earth, and lavished on you his visible and unseen favors? Yet some people would argue about Allah without knowledge, or guidance, or an illuminating book. '
Surah 71:15
Do you not see how Allah created the seven heavens one above the other,
B) Sun, Moon, Day and Night, Shadow
Surah 31:29
Do you not see how Allah causes the night to enter into the day and the day enter into the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running to a named term? Allah is aware of what you do.
Surah 25:45
Do you not see how your lord stretches the shadow? had it been his will, he could have made it constant. then he appointed the sun to be a guide to it;
C) Sky, Clouds, Rain, Water, Plants
Surah 24:43
Do you not see how Allah drives the clouds, then gathers them and converts them into a mass, then you see rain coming from the midst of them? and he sends down out of heaven mountains in which there is hail, pelting with it whom he will, and turning it away from whom he will. the flash of its lightning almost snatches away the sight.
Surah 22:63
Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the sky and in the morning the earth becomes green? Allah is subtle, the aware.
Surah 35:27
Do you not see how Allah sends down water from the sky and with it brings forth different colored fruits? in the mountains there are paths of various colors, of white and red, and jet-black.
Surah 39:21
Do you not see how Allah sends down water from the sky and threaded it as springs in the earth? Then, he brings forth plants of various colors, after which they wither, and you see them turning yellow, and then he makes them into broken stubble. surely, in this there is a reminder for those of understanding.
D) Seas and Ships
Surah 22:65
Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you all that is on the earth, and the ships which run upon the sea by his command? he holds the sky back lest it should fall upon the earth except by his permission. Allah is gentle to people, the most merciful.
Surah 31:31
Do you not see how the ships run upon the sea, by the favor of Allah so that he may show you his signs? Surely, there are signs in this for every steadfast, thankful person.
Do you not see and a Parable in the Quran:
Surah 14:24
Do you not see how Allah sets forth a parable that a good deed is like a good tree, its roots are firm and its branches are very high?
Do you not see: Allah Knows, Hears and Sees all things?
Surah 58:7
Do you not see that Allah knows that which is in the heavens and the earth? There is no secret talk between three but he is the fourth of them; nor between five but he is the sixth of them; nor between fewer or more but he is with them wherever they are. Then, on the day of resurrection, he will inform them of what they have done. Surely, Allah has knowledge of all things.
Do you not see and the History of Man in the Quran:
Surah 2:243
Do you not see those who went out from their homes in their thousands cautious of death? Allah said to them: 'die, ' and then he revived them. Surely, Allah is bountiful to the people, but most people do not thank
Surah 2:246
Do you not see the congregation of the children of Israel who demanded of one of their prophets after (the death of) Moses? 'raise up for us a king, ' they said, 'and we will fight in the way of Allah. 'he replied: 'might it be that if fighting is written for you, you will not fight? ''Why we shouldn't fight in the way of Allah, ' they replied, 'when we and all our children have been driven from our dwellings? 'yet, when fighting was written for them all except for a few, turned away. and Allah has knowledge of the harm doers.
Surah 2:258
Do you not see he who argued with Abraham about his lord that Allah had given him the kingship! when Abraham said: 'my lord is he who revives, and causes to die. ' he said: 'i revive, and cause to die. 'Abraham said: 'Allah brings up the sun from the east; so you bring it from the west! 'Then he who disbelieved became pale. Allah does not guide the nation, the harm doers.
Surah 89:6
Do you not see how your lord dealt with "Aad"?
Surah 105:1
Do you not see how Allah dealt with the companions of the elephant?
Do you not see and the Unbelievers in the Quran:
Those who deny the Quran, Muhammad and Islam
Surah 40:69
Do you not see how those who dispute about the verses of Allah how they are turned about?
Do you not see and the People of the Books in the Quran:
Surah 3:23
Do you not see those who have received a portion of the book being called to the book of Allah, that it might judge between them, and some turned away, swerving aside?
Surah 4:44
Do you not see those to whom a portion of the book was given purchasing error and wishing that you should err from the path?
Surah 4:51
Do you not see those to whom a portion of the book was given believing in (the two statutes of Mecca) jibt and taghout (Satan) and say to those who disbelieve: 'those are more guided on the way than those who believe.'
Do you not see and the Hypocrites in the Quran:
Surah 4:49
Do you not see those who exalt themselves? Rather, Allah purifies whom he will and they shall not be wronged a single tissue that covers a date stone.
Surah 14:28
Do you not see those who exchanged the favor of Allah with disbelief and landed their nation in a house of ruin?
Surah 4:60
Do you not see those who claim that they believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you? They desire to be judged by the idol, although they have been commanded to disbelieve it. But Satan desires to lead them astray into far error.
Surah 4:77
Do you not see those to whom it has been said: 'restrain your hands, establish your prayers and pay the obligatory charity. ' then, as soon as fighting is written for them, there is a party of them fearing people as they would fear Allah, or with stronger fear. and they say: 'our lord, why have you written fighting for us, why not postpone us to a near term? 'Say: 'the pleasure of this life is little. the everlasting life is better for the cautious. You shall not be wronged a single tissue (of the fine skin that covers a date stone).
Surah 19:83
Do you not see how we send down to the unbelievers Satans who prick them?
Surah 58:8
Do you not see those who were forbidden to talk in secrecy together? They return to that which they are forbidden and talk secretly together in sin and hatred, and in disobedience to the messenger. then, when they come to you they greet you with greetings with which Allah does not greet you, and they say within themselves: 'why does Allah not punish us for what we say? 'Hell suffices them, they shall be roasted, an evil arrival!
Surah 59:11
Do you not see the hypocrites? They say to their brothers among the people of the book who disbelieve, 'if they expel you, we will go with you. we will never obey anyone against you. if they fight against you we will certainly help you. 'But Allah bears witness that they are, without doubt, liars.

Buffon, Linnaeus and the Definition of Species By: Helen Klus | 10/10/2008 Over 100 years before Darwin published 'The Origin of the Species' there was huge controversy over how species should be defined. In 1749, Comte de Buffon, published the Histoire naturelle. where he criticised the most popular system of taxonomy of the time, particularly systems similar to those of Linnaeus, who had presented a global classification of nature in Systema naturae in 1735.
Alan Turning and the Right to be Gay By: Helen Klus | 10/10/2008 Alan Turing is considered to be the father of computer science. In 1936 he helped answer one of the unsolved mathematical problems of the time, Gödel's incompleteness theorem, by showing that it is theoretically possible to design a machine which, given any equation, could decide whether or not it could be proven. During the World War II Turning worked in the British Communication headquarters at Bletchley Park where he was instrumental in solving the problem of the Enigma machine.
A History of Astronomy: Copernicus to the Present Day By: Helen Klus | 10/10/2008 Nicolaus Copernicus first popularised the idea of a moving Earth around a stationary Sun in 'On the Revolutions of the Celestial Spheres' published in 1543. Perhaps for political reasons this was proposed merely as am instrumental theory, it provided an easier mathematical system for calculating where planets would be but could not be accepted as a realist interpretation.
A Brief History of the Brain By: Helen Klus | 10/10/2008 The human brain evolved from the mammalian brain, which had evolved in turn from the reptilian brain, and as each evolved pieces of the old brain remained, layers were simply added onto what was there before.
A Brief History of Quantum Mechanics By: Helen Klus | 10/10/2008 The nature of light has been contested throughout much of the history of modern science. Robert Hooke and Christiaan Huygens begun working on a wave theory of light in the 1670s, this was reliant on the idea that light waves must propagate through a medium and so the void between the Sun and the Earth must be filled with an æther.
Stress Tolerance in Plants By: Prasanna Bhagwan , Luka Nijhawan, Anower Kabir | 09/10/2008 Conventional and GM breeding are complementary approaches and can be expected to enhance the draught resistance and yield of crops. People have entered in new era in which enhance knowledge of both the physiology of yield accumulation and the physiological basis of genetic variation in both salt and draught resistance traits offer the potential for improving breeding efficiency for major food crops in different target environments. Using physiological knowledge and powerful tools
Dimensions of Time By: Dennis Huff | 08/10/2008 Provides an alternate view of time by explaining what time truely is v.s how science currently views time. I also make the argument that just as we have spacial dimensions, so too are there time dimensions. I also stress the point that time is not an actual thing. It is simply a tool that we use to measure events as they happen.
Philosophy Must Lead Science By: K.K.SUBRAMANIAN | 08/10/2008 This article questions the relevance of the mega physics experiment and advocates proper debate before experimentation.
