Also remember that the administrator of the server could possibly have total access to all the information passing through their server.

Free proxy servers provide you with one of the least secure ways of surfing the internet and are just the total opposite of the highly anonymous proxy server they claim to be. Your identity might be safe from the web server you visit, but if your unlucky enough to get a free proxy server used by Eastern European Hacking groups, it will be the least of your worries.
