Using the computer these days can be a risky endeavor. Of course the benefits and rewards that computers offer outweigh the potential risks, but you should still become educated about the pitfalls. In short, technology has made our lives easier in a lot of ways, but by this same token technology has provided the means for people with ill motives to take advantage of unsuspecting victims. And regardless of how computer savvy you are, you are not immune to the tactics and strategies of virtual scam artists. Spy ware protect 2009 has ripped off more than its fair share of people and this article is aimed at preventing this scam from continuing on much further.

A proper discussion of SpywareProtect 2009 must begin with a description of spyware. Spyware is malicious software that really has no advantageous purpose to those of us with integrity. Spyware is designed to track your every move while on your computer system. It does so by attaching itself to your computer system and then using your system’s processing capabilities to perform its functions. In some instances, spyware uses your information to send targeted pop up windows to your computer system. In more serious instances, however, spyware tracks and records financial information such as credit card numbers and bank account information. This financial information can then be used by computer hackers to steal your identity. If you know anybody who has had their identity stolen, you know the serious headache that this can cause.

While on your system, spyware causes your computer to operate sluggishly and slowly. This is because much of your computer’s capacities are being used to run the spyware and are not left available to perform the operations that you need performed. In addition to simply running slowly, your computer system will be clogged with annoying pop up windows from a wide variety of advertisers and scam artists. It is in this fashion that Spyware Protect 2009 presents itself.

You will know that your system is infected with Spyware Protect 2009 once the pop up advertisements begin. From all outward appearances, the Spyware Protect 2009 pop ups appear to be legitimate. However, do not be fooled by what they tell you! These pop up windows will tell you that a variety of threats are facing your system and unless you download the full version of Spyware Protect 2009, your system is in jeopardy of being destroyed by viruses and spyware. The truth of the matter is that the most significant threat to your system is probably Spyware Protect 2009. And by downloading the full version of Spyware Protect 2009, you are actually paying the very organization which is causing your system to malfunction.

Do not fall victim to this scam. If you are receiving pop up advertisements from Spyware Protect 2009, you need to find a real solution to your real problem.
