Personal Pc Spy is Both a Keylogger and Spyware

Personal PC Spy is rogue anti-spyware.  Not only is it a form of spyware, but it is one of the most harmful tools for identity theft.  The program advertises itself as a useful tool for your home or business in monitoring activity on your computer.  If you think you need a keylogger, Personal PC Spy isn't the best option.  This program logs the websites you visit, so they can record personal financial information.  Hackers use this information to perform harmful and unethical acts against the end user. If you have found this on your computer, you need to remove it immediately and protect yourself from thieves and hackers.

In most cases, Personal PC Spy, also known as PersonalPCSpy.g (among other aliases), can be found attached to Trojans and other forms of malware.  In the world of online crime, a keylogger is one of the quickest ways to monitor information.

The program is advertised all over the Internet as a useful product that even has a free trial.  These programs are much more than simple keystroke recorders.  They record every website that is visited.  It keeps clipboard logs and captures screen images so that mouse use is also recorded.  Any files or documents that are accessed on your computer will also be recorded.  Even if you need a program that can do this, you really don't want Personal PC Spy to do it for you.

Personal PC Spy prides itself on being “the most powerful stealth keylogger software.”  It runs quietly in the background and goes undetected by many anti-spyware programs because it operates with a rootkit that then sends your information to remote users.  It even records information in text and IM and sends it to a clipboard to be reviewed later.

Originally, keyloggers were effective tools at both home and in commercial businesses.  With so many predators online, you may be wanting to protect your child by monitoring their activity.  If you have computers at work, you probably don't want your employees online for social networking like MySpace or Instant Messaging.  Or even worse, using your computers to go to potentially dangerous sites and pick up malware.

Don't be fooled by Personal PC Spy, this program is not concerned with helping you out with business productivity or child safety.  If you really need to use a keylogger, do some research for a reputable program.  If you think a keylogger is necessary, you may want to try external hardware rather than downloading software.

If you decide to purchase this program, the agreement says it all, “In no event shall Personal PC Spy Software, INC be liable for any loss of data or ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, financial, physical, or emotional that may arise.”  Don't agree to these terms!

Find a reputable anti-spyware program that is able to detect keyloggers and rootkits.  Personal PC Spy is difficult to get rid of.  Like they say, it is one of the most stealth programs out there.  Programs that offer a 24-hour removal guarantee seem to be most effective with resilient programs like this.
