Security by Internet Camera

I personally find the use of webcam or any other electronic surveillance cameras for personal, family, or business security.

Very affordable to setup and easy to maintain just by using any webcam. While you subscribe for a DSL, a wi-fi, or broadband internet connection which is required to make the application of security camera more effective.

An internet connection via dial-up may do, but it would slow-down connection rather than a direct connection which would be a real-time saving of captured images or video.

When buying webcam or security camera, select the one which has feature for infra-red. Simply connect thru your PC's usb and attend to its easy configuration.

The next thing is create an email account or an ftp with any of your preferred web server. Fill in the necessary input for ftp login and password, the ftp site address or your POP account for an email. Set the webcam to either perform continuous capture or by motion-detection (which is better).

As you travel or away from home, you can simply view all captured images or video. You may archive captured events on a daily basis, keep them in case you may need to backtrack any past events.

If you have electronic cameras (not the webcam types), you would be needing a "capture card" which you can purchase from any PC store. The setup is also the same concept for webcams.

Position your cameras in strategic locations, that cannot be moved so easily and hard to reach. Many lives had been saved and committed crimes solved because of the existence of this technology.

If you need technical assistance, there are forums available under this topic.

I like to feature more detailed and expounded info for your further needs. If you think your day has been saved by the use of this technology, appreciate to learn from you or for added requests.
