System Security is a Computer Hazard
There is a scam that is taking place over and over on the Internet. There are rogue security programs that are being cloned and renamed in order to trick people. System Security is one of these horrid programs that are putting thousands of dollars a week into the pockets of cyber criminals.
Usually infecting a computer through a security exploit caused by a Trojan horse program, System Security slips its way into a computer unnoticed and uninvited. Once it has infected a computer, it harasses the user with unwelcomed pop-up messages that claim that the computer is overrun with infectious programs. System Security does this while it causes the computer to slow down with its own malicious behavior.
If the infected user clicks on the fake warnings, System Security initiates a phony scan of the computer. When it has finished, it presents the user with a falsified list of malicious software that is supposedly infecting the computer. This is merely a trick designed to fool the user into the final step of the scam.
The user will be highly pressured into buying the full version of System Security so that the imaginary infections can be removed from the computer. However, if the user pays for the full version of System Security, they will be wasting money and may even be putting their credit card in danger. The people that receive the credit card information are criminals after all. Who knows how much money they will try to squeeze out of the cards?
If you have been infected by System Security, then you should remove it as soon as you can. You can remove it manually, but that method of removal is both complicated and time consuming. On top of that, only removing System Security doesn’t guarantee that your computer is in the clear. Other adware or Trojans may have been downloaded while System Security was infecting your system.
