• Virus signature definitions only protect users from viruses pre-dating their last virus signature update: another reason to run automatic updates whenever possible.
• Heuristic software protection involves protection based on virus’ common behaviors, before there is an outbreak.
A virus’s capability to wreak havoc is truly extensive, but can be preventable. Every person will most likely come face-to-face with a virus at least once during their computer-usage. This makes it necessary to compare antivirus security and find one to begin protecting you.

Help with downloading and emailing PDF files

I am trying to email (as an attachment) a PDF file. I have the file on a cd. When I try to attach the PDF file to the email from the CD drive, it tells me the file name is too long. So, I try saving the PDF file on my hard drive (with a shorter name). Then when I attach it to the email, it appears to work , until the person I send it to downloads it from the email and tries to open it. THey get the error message "There was an error in opening this file. File not found" or something similar to that. What is going wrong?

I am considering Mac based Web Ghost to prevent / stop all of the spam I have started to receive after I signed up for a frequent user card for TGI Fridays. It was linked to a ton of ad's which I marked all NO. I am getting them anyway and they will not stop. If I use Web Ghost to prevent them from tracking me will Web Ghost flag my IP address as one to track? I was told that only the only people that use such software are up to no good and this will red flag my IP address? Any advice? Thanks for your time.

My son just got his computer's hard drive cleaned ,and reloaded. They must of wiped out the program to make his wireless LAN internet card work. Looking for fre software to fix the problem ,but not having luck.
