If you use a computer very often, more than likely you will get a virus at some point in time. There are programs that protect against this and remove them, but Nano Antivirus isn't one of them. This program is a total fake, designed only to take your money. If you receive pop-up ads and click on them, you may be in for a rude awakening.
This application is usually spread by Trojans that display fake security warnings. They may also display through pop-up ads, and state that your pc is infected. If you click on these ads, you will be taken to a page that appears to scan your computer for malware. It will then inform you that there are infections, and that you need to download their software to solve the problem. These scans produce fake results, and there are usually no infections present at all.
Nano Antivirus will begin upon start up of your pc, performing its fake scan. More than likely you will notice that your computer is slower than normal. Are there other dangers associated with this software? Yes. It can potentially erase data and contaminate your system registry. It is highly dangerous, and should be removed the minute you realize that it is installed on your pc. This software is another clone of the rogue software AntiSpyware Pro XP.
To remove threatening applications such as this one, it is recommended to use a reliable anti-spyware product. Here is where you may run in to even more trouble – there are many fakes out there that will take your money and produce absolutely no results. These rogues perform much the same way as Nano Antivirus. They display false security warnings in an attempt to frighten you into purchasing their product to remedy the situation.
Spyware can be dangerous stuff. There are many symptoms, most notably pop-up ads. You may also notice other things, such as a changed homepage, new toolbars in your browser, and redirection to strange websites. In the worst case scenario, your computer can totally crash and be nearly impossible to restore. Passwords and other secure information may no longer be secure. If you suspect that any malicious software has been installed on your pc, remove it immediately.
Like mentioned before, there are many fake products that state they will restore security to your computer. Even authentic anti-spyware products may not work efficiently. Many will scan your pc, remove a portion of the infections, and leave some behind. They just aren't capable of completely restoring the security of your pc. Once this happens, you must purchase another product to completely remove the remaining parasites, and restore security to your computer.
Do you suspect that Nano Antivirus or some other malicious software is installed on your pc? Don't leave your security to chance. Locate a product that is guaranteed to work with just one scan. You need to completely remove all traces of infections, parasites and other dangers.
