You Shouldn’t Trust InternetAntivirusPro

While the Internet has revolutionized the way that we share information, it has also revolutionized the way that criminals can scam people. One of the latest wares of the criminals is a program called InternetAntivirusPro. Be careful of this scam or you could wind up losing money and personal information.

InternetAntivirusPro is a rogue antivirus application that masquerades like a legitimate one. Though there are websites that promote it and offer free downloads of it, this is a rare form of infection. The more common means of infection is through more devious methods such as Trojan horse applications or browser security holes.

Once the rogue has infected a computer, it will begin to harass the user with fake security warnings. It will tell the user that their computer has been infected with viruses and that they should allow it to perform a scan. If this scan is performed, then it will yield false results. The infections that are said to infect the computer are not actually on there.

The fake scan results will be used to try to pressure the user into purchasing the full version. However, the full version of this rogue is completely useless. It doesn’t offer any of the protection that it claims to offer. Instead, it causes the computer it has infected to slow down; it will slow the Internet connection, reduce browser security, and generate pop-ups. What is worse is that it may even download other malicious software.

If your computer has been infected with InternetAntivirusPro, then you should remove it as soon as possible. You could manually remove it, but this is a complicated process and can even be dangerous. Besides, if other malware has been downloaded you will be stuck with the problems that they create. The best way to remove this rogue from your computer, along with all other malware, would be to use an antispyware program that you can trust.

When looking for a legitimate antispyware that you can trust, be sure to do some research. Make sure that the company that makes the antispyware is trustworthy. If there isn’t any information on the company, then you shouldn’t trust them. Also, be sure that the antispyware you buy is guaranteed to remove 100% of spyware and malware. If it doesn’t have this guarantee then it isn’t worth buying. Your computer is an important part of your life, so take good care of it.
