Trivia: What Percent of Females Have Been Stalked?

Remember the serial killer Michael Myers from the movie Halloween?

Of course you do. Whether it’s the old version or new, I like them both.

Anyway, I just wanted to test your knowledge on real life stalking.

Can you guess what percent of American Females have been stalked at some point in their lifetimes?

I’ll tell you in just a moment.

Also, what percent of American Males have or will be stalked at some point?

I ask you this because you might be surprised. If you have ever been a victim of stalking you know it’s even more chilling than ANY movie Hollywood can produce.

It’s more terrifying because YOU’RE now the one constantly looking over your shoulder.

If I were to go into the psychology of stalkers you’d never hear

the end of it. For the most part however, stalkers are doing it for several reasons.

One of which, they feel THEY are the victims and want revenge.

Some do it for pure sick pleasure, because they want to see you frightened. Stalkers can be jealous, enraged, love struck, paranoid, delusional, curious, or a little mix of this one, and a little mix of that one, or all the above.

And there you have it—a genuine psychopath!

They are not all dangerous. But like I said, a little bit of this and that can be a deadly concoction of WSKR (Wannabe Serial Killer or Rapist)

or ASKAR (Actual Serial Killer and Rapist) . 

The terminology is my own because I am by no means a psychologist thank God.

Stalking is ANY form of repeated or unwanted harassment.

Stalkers today may not follow you around like Michael Myers did

in the movie. Stalkers are now seeking you out via personal

files, public records, and spying (either online or in person).

This form of mental assault can be deeply traumatizing to its

victims. I just thought you should know there is always

something you can do about it.

One of the best things you can do is carry personal protection like a

pepper spray or stun gun. Also, talk to your loved ones about it if you

feel you are being stalked by someone. You must be proactive about it.

8% of American Females are stalked and

2% of American Males are stalked

This means that combined, over 1.4 Million people have been

stalked in the United States. Wow, that’s the population of Idaho, or the

entire population of Phoenix, Arizona.
