Sometimes it feels as though we are surrounded by negativity. It is not only our individual, personal problems that can make us feel that way, but also our experiences of living in a modern, fast-paced world where we face a whole range of issues: unemployment, relationship turmoil, ill-health, environmental threats and war. In such times we all feel the need for a negativity zapper that can obliterate our negative thoughts and replace them with positive images.
When you think negatively, it affects your whole being. It alters your system in a myriad of ways - your negative thoughts create negative feelings which in turn can raise your blood pressure, create headaches, and cause your stomach to churn and your back to ache. Your thoughts are so powerful that they can affect your inner well-being. Not only that, your thoughts exert a tremendous power on your outer world and how you connect with people. Your thoughts literally dictate how you will experience your life at that given moment. Will everything you see and experience be clouded with negativity or will you zap through those thoughts and be positive instead? The choice is most definitely only yours.
Zapping negativity in its tracks is a conscious decision and it is something that takes time and practice. The effort is well worth it as positive thoughts can have an even more powerful effect on your life than negative ones. Positive thoughts are the weapons you can use to transform your life, they act as the negativity zappers that will fill your life with hope, optimism, joy and, ultimately, success. It is only when you experience these feelings on a regular basis, as a part of positive thinking and affirmations that you will realise how detrimental your negativity once was, how it affected your health, your relationships and finances.
Thinking positively as a negativity zapper tool takes some self-control. It is something that has to be done consciously and consistently, otherwise you will have only hit-and-miss results. It also involves your core beliefs about yourself and your world. Do you see yourself in a negative light? Do you view people in general negatively? How you speak to yourself and about yourself is crucial. If your thoughts are constantly critical or insulting, you are abusing yourself with negativity. Action must be taken to keep these thoughts in check so that when they do arise you are able to control them and then override them with positive images instead. Negative thoughts are limiting beliefs and serve no purpose to you other than to keep you stuck, frustrated and powerless. You are literally at the mercy of your own thoughts - thoughts that cannot be constructed by anyone else except you!
You have the power to be your very own negativity zapper. You don't need any expensive equipment or years of training. You do need determination and practice and a will to sincerely improve your life. It is surprising how many people secretly enjoy being negative, enjoy complaining about the bad things happening in their lives. They claim they are simply unlucky, but most of the cause of their misery is self-inflicted simply because they are choosing repeatedly to be negative. Don't let this happen to you. Make a conscious decision today to change your life for the better. Remember that the power is within you; do not keep relinquishing this power because you have become stuck in a habit of negativity. This habit can be broken with a little time and practice. All you need to do is to begin with your thoughts. Start today and take the first step to leading a better and more fulfilled life.
