The story is told of how the great author Arthur Gordon once approached Thomas .J. Watson Sr (founder of IBM) and asked him how he could become a successful writer. Thomas Watson simply replied "if you want to be successful, double your rate of failure. For success lies on the far side of failure" This statement odd as it seems applies to all who seek success in life, to tackle and overcome your problems to be successful in life you must face your failures squarely and tackle them headstrong, never run away from your problems because problems are meant to be solved. Simply the fact that you failed before, is not enough reason that you will continue to fail. The plain truth is that the more you fail the more you learn from your failure to move ahead (failing forward), and the likely that you are on the verge of great success. Your failure only prepares you for success; remember the case of Abraham Lincoln. A streak of good luck always follows a streak of bad luck. "Double your rate of failure". The more you try the more likely you are to triumph. You can only succeed by doing the things you fear until the fear disappears and have no more control over you.
So take hold of yourself, for you alone has the ability to improve your life and to be a success. Just like the words of Thomas Watson, never be discouraged by failures no matter how many times. Try again and keep failing forward then you will realize only one thing. "Failure is the elixir to success".
