You have probably become fairly accustomed to dressing casually for school with a wardrobe consisting of jeans, shirts, and tennis shoes. And why not? Jeans are way more comfortable than slacks and dress shoes don't hold a candle to a comfy pair of sandals. Unfortunately, these items are best left to the back of the closet when it comes to dressing appropriately for a job interview.

The first step in this process is to find out the dress code of the dental office or clinic ahead of time by observing what the employees wear. Is it business casual or uniforms? Whichever the case, you should plan to dress as if you already work there - only a tad better.

Men and women should avoid wearing perfume and cologne altogether. There are many people who don't enjoy strange odors and scents; so as not to offend anyone, leave the fragrance bottle alone.

Another interview no-no is displaying tattoos and body piercings. These can be fun when you're hanging out with friends; however, they can be very distracting to the interviewer. Remember to cover up your tattoos and remove multiple body piercings before the interview. You want the employer's full attention to be on your skill and talent.

Ladies, save the loud colors, heavy makeup, and big jewelry for nights out with the girls. These items can give the impression that you are not serious about work and can leave a negative impression with the interviewer. Focus instead on wearing clean, barely-there makeup, minimal jewelry, and remember to stay away from nail polish unless it is clear.

Men should sport a fresh haircut with a face that is clean-shaven on the day of the interview. It is a great idea for women to wear long hair pulled neatly back into a bun or a low ponytail. For those with shorter hair, keep it neat and polished as well.

The best clothing styles for a job interview are conservative and neutral. Think navy blue, black, dark brown and grey for color choices. Women avoid open-toe shoes and mules.

Your personal fashion is a statement of you; however, there is a time and place to express yourself. Your goal for the job interview is to present a professional image that conveys respect and motivation to the employer. So dust off those dress shoes and press those shirts because you never get a second chance to make a great first impression!

Are there other ways to drive legally while your license is suspended
By: EnJ | 04-08-2008
I was told about some form of a way you can apply for restricted driving privileges after being suspended for a DUI. It was said that there is a device that can be placed on your car like a breathalizer to prevent your car from starting if in fact your alcohol level is above legal levels. Could you tell me if this is true, and if so how do you go about aquiring it.

My friend is really upset
By: voterperson | 02-08-2008
The last four days Stacy (in her 50?s) and her mom (in her 80?s) have been fighting. Today they started to get along again. However, today when Stacy was at the 99 cent store she called her mom.   Stacy: ?I found a blouse from Chico?s that Jennifer would like? (Jennifer is Stacy?s sister) Mom: ?I told her you buy the blouses at the 99 cent store and you know she won?t wear it?   Then tonight   Stacy: ?What did you tell Jennifer? Mom: ?Well the other day when you complained about me I complained about you to Jennifer and I told her you shop at the 99 cent store? Stacy: ?But the ones I buy are nice? Mom: ?Some? Stacy: ?But I get compliments? Mom: ?Some are stained? Stacy: ?Well you can wash the stains out? Mom: ?You purchased one blouse from a department store that closed 20 years ago? Stacy: ?Well then you don?t care if I take back the four blouses I purchased for you at the 99 cent store? (And Stacy took the blouses. Her mom followed Stacy to Stacy?s room when Stacy took the blouses) Mom: ?Well then I am going to take back the television set in your room. I purchased the Television for you. Let me see what you purchased today to see if they have any stains? (And her mom started to look at the blouses Stacy purchased today. Stacy grabbed them out of her mothers hands. And they had some fight) Then her mom got nasty with Stacy, but Stacy tried to calm her mother down. Stacy asked the following Stacy: ?But I got mad because I felt like you were telling me what I purchased is not good? Mom: ?I don?t even know what you purchased. I haven?t seen every thing. You have so much?   My question: (1) How would you interpret the mom?s remarks. (2) Would you care if your mother put down where you buy your clothes and (3) would care if she thought they were nice or not But the clothes Stacy buys at the 99 cent store are really pretty. The ones that are stained you can hardly see the stains and can be washed easily.

I define an adult as someone who takes 100 % responsibility for his or her life and situation. Every blaming thought you hold is an obstacle---an obstacle to your success. Blaming is just a story that we tell ourselves, and in the story we distort reality in order to justify ourselves--in order make ourselves feel right or better than the other person.
