The idea of hypnosis weight loss solutions to the goal of losing weight may seem like a gimmick or maybe a scam. However, when you consider how the human mind operates, nothing could be more simple or straightforward.
Think about it. For the most part, the condition of your physical body is the result of actions and behavior. Of course, genetics also plays a role, but no matter what your genes you still have control over what you do with the body you were born with. Furthermore, recent evidence suggests that even our DNA can be changed by conscious will! That's a bit beyond the scope of this article, but you can research it on your own if you like.
So if our bodies are the results of our actions, such as what we eat, how much we exercise and our overall lifestyle, then we have to realize that to change our bodies we have to change what we do. This is obvious enough. But what exactly determines what we do?
Many people are guided more by the impulses of the moment than by following any long range plan. And often our plans and goals are subverted by impulses -grab that donut, lie back and watch TV rather than exercise. If we want to gain control over our actions, we have to dig deeper and influence our subconscious mind, which is where all these whims and impulses have their origin.
To make real changes, we have to first make changes at a subconscious level. This includes basic beliefs about how we feel about ourselves, what is possible for us to accomplish and what we deserve. If we have negative beliefs in these areas -and most of us do!- then that's what we need to work on to change the way we act and the results we get.
How might hypnosis, which could be either self-hypnosis or sessions under the guidance of a professional, help us to lose weight? Hypnosis can reprogram the subconscious mind with new pictures of how we might look and feel. It can also implant suggestions that make us feel more positive, even enthusiastic, about eating a healthier diet and exercising regularly.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about hypnosis for goals such as weight loss is that it works in a way that makes it easier and more pleasurable to do what's good for you. This reduces the need for will power when it comes to resisting impulses and being lazy about exercising. That's because when you have new programs running in your subconscious mind, you change the way you feel about things, so that you actually want to eat less and exercise more!
Hypnosis weight loss solutions are not for everybody. It requires an open mind and a willingness to trust in what may be a new process for you. However, if you give it a chance, you may find it helps where other methods have failed.
