5 Most Common Myths About Death

1. That it won't happen to me. Many people young and old don't think too much about death. They think that death will not happen to them until later. "I am too young, I am too smart, I am too beautiful, I am too...." Death has no age to it. Death has no standards. Death can happen to any of us at any time.

2. That it will happen to me when I am old. Most people have heard of babies, children, teens and middle age people dying. However, mostly we associate death with being old and enjoying life- as many say. I want you to know that 250,000 to 300,000 people die on an average day, some days more. The people who die in those age groups are everyone, babies to the elderly. Your time is set, when your born.

3. That I will have lived a full life, and I will be ready for it. Since nobody was promised tomorrow, why is it that many people think they will have lived a full life, and everything will be perfect when they die. They imagine they achieved all of their dreams and goals, and watched their grand kids grow, and then death came for them.

4. That my family will be surrounding me. Many people imagine their kids and grandkids are surrounding them, as they die. This is not true. Everyday people die of different causes, and a lot of the time, no one is around them when it happens. Like accidents, wars, drive by shooting, in their sleep, etc. If you're driving in your car alone, and you get into an accident, and it is your time to go, then your family will not be there.

5. That I will not owe any money. Many people imagine that they will die debt free. In America more than 50% of the households owe money, and are in debt. When they die, this burden either falls on the shoulders of their family members, or they don't pay it, and the person who was owed the money loses.
