A Success Secret Every Entrepreneur Knows..
Every entrepreneur knows that if they want to become more successful they have to not only set goals for themselves, but they have to RESET their goals to stay on course.
The big problem, though, is most entrepreneurs wait way too long to reset their goals. Since today is July 1st (and the official Second Half of the Year Day) let's take a look at 3 types of goals every entrepreneur must have in place to succeed...and ones you may want to reset for the remainder of this year (hint, hint, wink, wink):
1. Attitude Goal
Zig Ziglar says, "Your attitude will determine your altitude." Now, I don't think being blindly optimistic in general will help you to succeed; however, optimism and a positive attitude is a must.
In my opinion, an extremely important attitude goal to reset this month is your CAN DO attitude. Not, it can be done. But, I CAN do it.
Your belief and attitude toward YOU being able to do something (whatever that something is) will help you succeed. Right now, reset your attitude to I can do it!
2. Energy Goal
No matter how good you are, if you're not creating new energy on a regular basis it's only a matter of time before your body and mind give-out or burn-out.
Reset your energy goal right now and design a plan to create new energy every day. Some ideas to put in your plan are: exercise, meditation, sleep, healthy food, and sex.
All of these ideas will help you create new energy; keep your mind and body sharp; and keep you sane!
3. Marketing Goal
For us entrepreneurs, marketing is the most important part of our business. After all, without new, fresh blood (clients, customers, patients) coming in the door on a regular basis, we'll be out of business. Fast.
That's why resetting your marketing goals are so crucial. What have you done in the past 6 months that's worked? Do more of it this next six months. What have you done that has not worked? Don't do it anymore.
Looking at your successes and tests (failures) will help you determine which way to go for the next few months. Reset your marketing goals now and watch the money flow into your bank account.
So there you have it, three types of goals to RESET for the remainder of this year. Of course, you can reset more than just these goals...and more sub-goals within the types of goals I laid out.
Whatever goals you decide to reset, make it happen now. Don't know the secret and then do it too late!

Taking a career break in the middle of a recession is probably not the best idea, but sometimes we are forced to do so, especially when we are expecting a new arrival. These days with household budgets being stretched so thin, the thought of being a full-time mum, while attractive, is not realistic. As soon as we are able and are ready, we need to get back into the job market to find a way of catching back up financially.
Here are some facts, insights, and truths about the mind, its processes, and its power I have gathered from different resources. Like me, you might not even hear some of them until now. Enjoy!
It's strange that you wouldn't consider leaving home naked in the morning, but you'd have no problem leaving the house mentally unprepared for the day ahead - that's what most people do, it's normal. As a result, the normal life is mundane and often worse. But five minutes focusing your mind, first thing each morning, will completely change your life. This article discusses the type of focus required and how anyone (that includes you) can do it.
February is upon us and we are firmly in the grip of winter's frosty fingers. For many of us, the initial wave of inspiration that motivated us toward making positive changes in 2010 has already been thwarted. So soon, our best laid plans seem to have come to a standstill. Why does this always seem to happen with our well intended resolutions?
If you want to better yourself and enhance your life, then now is the right time to learn how to find a life coach. This article reveals some tips on how to find the ideal life coach for you.
Does focus, drive, planning or anything else speed up our destinies? No, it makes no difference. We struggle against ourselves until we give ourselves permission to take the next step. No other person can speed up or slow down the experience. What is far more important than the end result is the experience itself. Yet we focus so much on the end result that we miss the nuances of the experience.
How bad do you want to get your life back? Is it out of control? Do you want to take back some things that you feel you’ve lost? Are you in need of a change?
It was the last Tuesday before Christmas and I was standing among the cluttered isles of my local Walmart with my long list of last minute rememberances.
Too often we get too fancy with our customers. They are looking for a simple solution to their problem, while we're looking to impress them with our expertise, elaborate marketing pieces, and/or new widget. They just want the solution. You have it, but you're getting in the way of the sale...
As entrepreneurs, we cannot afford to waste money. We have to be careful where we invest our money, so we can gain the greatest 'return on investment'. And, as you know, the best place to invest money (that will actually come back to us) is in our marketing and advertising efforts. With this knowledge, the BIG question is: what is the biggest waste of money in our marketing and advertising efforts? The answer: NOT Tracking!!!
The Recession is on everyone's mind. When is it going to end? How long will it last? Who's to blame? Blah, blah, blah. And while I do not doubt we're in a recession, or that everything is hunky dory, I don't think the recession is a 'bad thing'. I know, maybe I'm nuts. But today I want to take a moment with you to look at the recession in a different way. In a more positive light, if you will.
Ask any entrepreneur what their biggest challenge is and the majority of them will tell you: time! Time is one of the biggest challenges all entrepreneurs face. Time to meet with clients. Time to check e-mail and voicemail. Time to put out fires. Today, let's look at the difference between time management and time mastery...

I was talking to a colleague of mine the other day about writing books. The discussion went from "how do you write a book" to "how do you discipline yourself to write a book". Discipline isn't painful. Discipline is just taking control of your emotions and doing what you need to do. There is no pain involved. Here's how to be disciplined in everything you do.
Over the weekend I watched the movie, Bedtime Stories, with my son. In the story when Sandler first meets his "fair maiden" (who can't stand him at first), she comments that his hair looks goofy. Then, Sandler says, "Goofy is the new handsome." Well, with respect to Sandler and the movie, I'm going to change it up a little to fit the context of our conversation today. My new phrase is, "Failing is the New Cool."
As an entrepreneur, you have a to-do list a mile long. Things that need done now; things that needed done yesterday; and things that need done as soon as you can get to them. Being an entrepreneur is tough. That's why getting help is essential. The question, though, is: what do I get help with?
