Having Self Confidence, Through Life Training, Creates a Fulfilling Life

Whenever I look in the mirror, I see a “stud ... not a dud!”  If honest confession is good for the soul, in order to be truthful, sometimes I see a “dud not a stud.”  Tiredness, mental fatigue, spiritual doubts, inhibitions and poor nutrition ... all of these can play a part. But we always have a choice we only need to make the right one. We must absolutely determine that we will not be led about by our feelings. Whether we “feel” good or “feel” bad is not the issue. It should be a question of “What is my worth?” Am I proud of life’s success, achievements, and skills? If not, then you should find ways for life training to improve performance, after all it’s for your own personal good.

The issue is way deeper than feelings. Feelings are the result of many related factors.  It could be last night's pizza... confronting this morning's flat tire. These stressors and frustrations will start an avalanche headed to “you know where” if we don’t stop them. Our faith in ourselves, our lives, our decisions and on and on... Will mentally get called into question and eventually we can fall in to depression. A logical worthwhile investment would be is to invest on a life training in building skills to become more successful in life.

One day a well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In a room of about 200 people, he asked, “What is this piece of paper & is it worth anything?”

“It is a $20 bill ... it’s worth $20! Someone shouted out.

He then began to crumple the dollar bill up using both his hands till it became nothing but a handful of wadded up paper. He unfolded it again and tried to smooth it out... and asked, "would you still be able to buy $20 worth of goods for this?'

“Yes!!” everyone agreed.

“Well,” he said, “Looks like I haven’t done enough! What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. What is it worth now?

"It’s still worth 20 Dollars,” Everyone agreed.

“My friends, there is a very valuable lesson in this exercise that we just went through. I was able to reshape, deface, mutilate & alter the $20 bill during the process. “However, no matter what I did to this piece of paper, you still said it was worth $20."

“Many times in our lives, we feel like as if we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and/or the circumstances we go through. We feel as though we are worthless. It may also appear to onlookers as if it has really happened to a certain extent. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, please remember you never lose your “Value”.”

Think back on those who never lost faith in their abilities, when you fail or go through times of doubt,

Sir Edmund Hillary refused to accept failure as an option. His displays of superhuman will power were displayed by being the first man to climb Mount Everest. On May 29, 1953 he scaled the highest mountain then known to man ... 29,000 feet straight up. He was knighted for his endeavor. He even made American Express card commercials because of it!

Did you know Hillary had to grow into this success? You see, in 1952 he attempted to climb Mount Everest, but failed. A few weeks later a group in England asked him to address its members. Hillary walked on stage to thunderous applause.

He moved away from the microphone and walked to the edge of the platform. He made a fist and pointed at a picture of the mountain. He said in a loud voice, “Mount Everest, you beat me the first time, but I’ll beat you the next time because you’ve grown all you are going to grow... but I’m still growing!”  He never lost faith in himself!

Another brilliant example:

There was once a boy who started speaking later than most.  He was definitely not a good all-around student. His teachers found him to be a problem child.  He had odd mannerisms ... he had no friends ... and his father was ashamed of him because he had no athletic ability.

Eccentrics are often associated as being geniuses in more ways than one can imagine. He had to leave school for six months during his senior year because of a nervous breakdown.  But I'm glad he didn't give up.  His name was Albert, Albert Einstein. He never lost faith in himself! Oh, by the way, did you hear about the family that kept taking Einstein vacations?  That’s one where everything was “relative!’’ You visit aunts, uncles, etc.

You have to shake off these “feelings” when you start to lose faith in yourself.

  1. I remind myself of past successes. I would note down the contentions that made me successful, introspect on how I was able to achieve them. Then I’ll read them over and over.

Some people call these positive statements  ... affirmations.  Mark Victor Hanson and Robert Allen in their great book One Minute Millionaire call them manifestations.  Manifest means to “make appear” A deeper meaning means to reach from the visible world ... by faith ...through an invisible veil ... and pull something back. It manifests itself.

That is what positive self talk can do.  It can help you shake off these bad “vibes” and manifest a better self image.  This will keep you from losing faith in yourself and give the negative notion of asking yourself “What is my worth?”

If we face our problems and respond to them positively, and refuse to give into panic, refuse to give into bitterness, and refuse to give into self-pity ... THE ADVERSITIES THAT COME ALONG  TO BURY US USUALLY HAVE WITHIN THEM THE POTENTIAL TO BENEFIT US ...AND BLESS US!

Determination amidst hindrances while enduring the ravages of decrepit negative stimulus forges a man with a conviction like no other. Through Life training and skill building with a mentor or a life coach one can definitely see acclaimed improvement on your performance on your personal work. And also as a means to further reach your personal mission.

Astral Projection Binaural Beats: Will They Work For You?

By: Peter Dougan | 20/12/2009
Astral projection binaural beats have been a part of mankind’s journey through life for many years. We are in such a rapidly paced world now, where we eat in a dash sleep in a dash, and wake up in a rush and hustle to work in a rush. Amidst all of this entire whirl and bustle, little do we care about our bodily well being and psychological well being? Like they say the face is the symbol of the mind, we fail to appreciate that our aging and dull faces just mean that our mind is exhausted.

The Characteristics of a Good Leader

By: Emile A. Jarreau | 19/12/2009
The position of a leader is as empowering as it is exhausting. Irrespective of the fact that you are a leader at a school or a community or at your workplace, you are the subject of a lot of expectations. There is no set formula that can help you become the leader who can efficiently meet all these expectations…

Conflict Management Training - Understanding unreasonable customer demands

By: Eamonn Dennis | 19/12/2009
Why not try this the next time you are in your bank's branch: Demand from the counter staff that they write off your mortgage or your credit card bills. When staff politely respond that this is not possible, accuse them of giving you a mortgage or credit you could not afford - so it's their fault! They might then look at you incredulously and try again to turn you down politely.

Conflict Management Training - Handling difficult people

By: Eamonn Dennis | 19/12/2009
The bully, the gossip, the misery, the know-it-all, the procrastinator, the silent presence, the 'I want to be everyone's friend'... We've all met them. In fact, if we are totally honest, there's probably a little of these in all of us!

Conflict Management Training - Dealing with conflict during change

By: Eamonn Dennis | 19/12/2009
When dealing with colleagues or anyone else who may be coming from a different perspective to us, there is always potential for conflict. Clashes of personality, styles, and expectations can lead to anything from innocent misunderstandings to inappropriate behaviour and open hostility.

Conflict Management Training - Managing unpredictable behaviour

By: Eamonn Dennis | 19/12/2009
With normal everyday behaviour, we can predict a great deal. We say 'hello' and we expect someone to say 'hello' back. There are many social conventions that all 'normally' behaving people comply with: if I enter a waiting room in which you are already sitting, unless I know you I will sit with at least one empty chair between us; if we are strangers, then I don't expect you to come up and hug me; etc.

Conflict Management Training - What angry customers want

By: Eamonn Dennis | 19/12/2009
During this current credit crunch the public need their banks and money to be safe (our primary want). In theory then, if our financial institutions are safe, we should all feel satisfied. Unfortunately for the banks, we also have some other, secondary wants that are not being addressed and are causing a lot of disquiet. It would be nice to know for example, who is responsible? Are they going to explain what happened? Are they going to apologise?

Conflict Management Training - Managing conflict by avoiding 'absolutes'

Life Training: Advocate Seven Ways to Build Trust

By: Gary Eby | 07/07/2009 | Self Improvement
The building skill of the builder will depend on how strong the foundation he has created. It is much like building a house with stone rather than using sand. With this, your house will not only provide shelter and comfort to your family but will also secure you and give you the assurance that it will stand the ravages of time

Life is a continuous process of learning. And it applies to the principle of understanding that learning does not stop the moment you went out of the four walls of the classroom. The more we crave to learn new things, the picture of profound success painted before us gets clearer.

Training: The Essence Of Fulfillment Through Simplicity

By: Gary Eby | 07/07/2009 | Self Improvement
Life is how we make it. If we want it to be complicated, then it will be. But before you throw that criticizing look at me, I just want to clarify that I'm not advocating becoming a monk or joining the Amish to make life simple nor I am advocating to lose balance like working with only two tools though you know that there are still a lot of options.

Life Training and Laughter, the Best Things in Life that are free!

By: Gary Eby | 06/07/2009 | Self Improvement
A speaker once say this last week that while arguing for one minute can decrease your immune system for up to 10 hours while one minute of laughter can boost your immune system for up to 24 hours! It is a widely known fact that laughter reduces levels of certain stress hormones. Stress hormones are horrible. They hinder the immune system which increases the number of blood platelets which can cause blockages in arteries.

Life Training Teaches us About Clarity of Foresight

Every Action Equals an Opposite Reaction in Life Training

By: Gary Eby | 06/07/2009 | Self Improvement
In life there comes a time when you have to leave your comfort zone and take a risk. The pregame has to end and the real game is about to start. Talking a good game only works for a while. Sooner or later you’ve got to strap it on and hit the field. The biggest failure of all is to do nothing!
