It can be quite difficult to go back into a relaxed state and continue your hypnosis progress if you are constantly being interrupted. Below you will find many self hypnosis instructions that will help get you started in successfully performing self hypnosis so that you can start improving whatever aspect in your life today. Let's get started!
1. Condition your mind and your body to start doing self hypnosis. A very important self hypnosis instruction is to fully commit yourself to the process of hypnosis so that the methods you will use will truly work.
2. Find the position you feel most comfortable in. The most common hypnosis positions are usually lying down or sitting upright. Make sure that whatever position you choose, you head is supported and your arms and legs are not crossed. This will help eliminate any tingling in your limbs during the whole hypnosis process.
3. Relax your whole body from head to toe. Make a conscious effort to isolate each and every body part and relax every muscle.
4. Control your breathing. Deep breathing is a very important self hypnosis instruction, and is very crucial to help you reach a relaxed state. While breathing, you can count forward when inhaling (1 to 5) and then backwards when exhaling (5 to 1.) Deep and controlled breathing will help your mind be more focused and your body more relaxed.
5. Choose your happy place. In your mind, go to a place that you are most comfortable in and where you feel you can relax the most. It could be the beach, your garden, or the park. Whatever place you choose, make sure that you imagine yourself there in private, with no one there to bother you.
6. Try to think of your happy place in a more vivid way. The more vivid your imagination is, the more realistic your happy place will be. Think of the details in your happy place such as the texture of the things around you, the sounds, and the smells. This will help you even more to be more calm and relaxed.
7. Once you have reached that state of relaxation, you can now give yourself direct commands, depending on what aspect of your life you want to improve. These direct commands can be about building more confidence in yourself. For example, you can say "I am confident and in control." and repeat this several times. Make sure that you always use positive scripting and avoid words such as "don't," "won't," or "can't."
With these self hypnosis instructions, you will be sure to help yourself become more successful in whatever aspect of your life that you choose to improve.

Astral Projection Binaural Beats: Will They Work For You?
By: Peter Dougan | 20/12/2009Astral projection binaural beats have been a part of mankind’s journey through life for many years. We are in such a rapidly paced world now, where we eat in a dash sleep in a dash, and wake up in a rush and hustle to work in a rush. Amidst all of this entire whirl and bustle, little do we care about our bodily well being and psychological well being? Like they say the face is the symbol of the mind, we fail to appreciate that our aging and dull faces just mean that our mind is exhausted.
The Characteristics of a Good Leader
By: Emile A. Jarreau | 19/12/2009The position of a leader is as empowering as it is exhausting. Irrespective of the fact that you are a leader at a school or a community or at your workplace, you are the subject of a lot of expectations. There is no set formula that can help you become the leader who can efficiently meet all these expectations…
Conflict Management Training - Understanding unreasonable customer demands
By: Eamonn Dennis | 19/12/2009Why not try this the next time you are in your bank's branch: Demand from the counter staff that they write off your mortgage or your credit card bills. When staff politely respond that this is not possible, accuse them of giving you a mortgage or credit you could not afford - so it's their fault! They might then look at you incredulously and try again to turn you down politely.
Conflict Management Training - Handling difficult people
By: Eamonn Dennis | 19/12/2009The bully, the gossip, the misery, the know-it-all, the procrastinator, the silent presence, the 'I want to be everyone's friend'... We've all met them. In fact, if we are totally honest, there's probably a little of these in all of us!
Conflict Management Training - Dealing with conflict during change
By: Eamonn Dennis | 19/12/2009When dealing with colleagues or anyone else who may be coming from a different perspective to us, there is always potential for conflict. Clashes of personality, styles, and expectations can lead to anything from innocent misunderstandings to inappropriate behaviour and open hostility.
Conflict Management Training - Managing unpredictable behaviour
By: Eamonn Dennis | 19/12/2009With normal everyday behaviour, we can predict a great deal. We say 'hello' and we expect someone to say 'hello' back. There are many social conventions that all 'normally' behaving people comply with: if I enter a waiting room in which you are already sitting, unless I know you I will sit with at least one empty chair between us; if we are strangers, then I don't expect you to come up and hug me; etc.
Conflict Management Training - What angry customers want
By: Eamonn Dennis | 19/12/2009During this current credit crunch the public need their banks and money to be safe (our primary want). In theory then, if our financial institutions are safe, we should all feel satisfied. Unfortunately for the banks, we also have some other, secondary wants that are not being addressed and are causing a lot of disquiet. It would be nice to know for example, who is responsible? Are they going to explain what happened? Are they going to apologise?
Conflict Management Training - Managing conflict by avoiding 'absolutes'
By: Eamonn Dennis | 19/12/2009Recently, as I was queuing in a branch of a major supermarket chain, I overheard the following conversation between a customer and the checkout assistant.
