Self Realisation

- Because we see the variegated world, a single source, with unlimited powers, has to be accepted. The seer, the seen, the screen on which it is projected, the light; are all only He, the One.

- All religions begin with the existence of the individual, the world and God. So long as the ego lasts these three will remain separate. To abide, egoless, in the Self, is the best.

- Of what use are disputes such as the ‘world is real’, ‘no, it is a mirage’, ‘it is conscious energy’, ‘no, it is matter’, ‘it is happiness’, ‘no, it is sorrow’? Abidance in the exalted state where neither the ego nor the world exists is acceptable to all.

- So long as one thinks he has a form the world and God too have forms. When one is the formless Self, who is there to see? It is itself the Eye, complete, limitless.

- The body is made up of five sheaths. The body, the world co-exist, Can anyone see the world, unless he has a body?

- The world is in the form of five-fold senses, like sound. These senses are known through the five sense organs. The mind alone perceives the world through these sense organs. Therefore, the world is but the mind.

- Even though both the mind and the world rise and set together, it is the mind which lights the world. The source from which the world and mind rise and into which they set is the Reality, which does not rise or subside.

- Worship of the Supreme in any name and in any form is an aid for the vision of it. True vision, however, is merging and abiding in the Reality.

- When the individual, for whom duality and trinity exist, is traced, they loosen and fall. Then all mental movement ceases, forever.

- Can there be knowledge without ignorance? Can ignorance exist without knowledge? Searching the source of the individual to whom they pertain and abiding there is true knowledge.

- Can knowledge of everything, without Self-knowledge, be true knowledge? Awareness of the Self, which is the support of knower and known, destroys the pair, knowledge and ignorance.

- Neither sleep nor the cognition of objects is knowledge. In the true state, which is different from both, there is no awareness of objects, but consciousness alone shines. Hence it is not a void.

- Consciousness, the Self is Real. The many forms cannot exist apart from it. Can the different ornaments exist by themselves? Are they apart from gold?

- Without the ‘I’ the second and third persons cannot exist. When the ‘I’ subsides through enquiry about its source, the second and third persons too disappear. Our own natural state, shines forth.

- In their time, both past and future are only the present. Is it not a matter for laughter to debate about past and future, unaware of the present? Can one count without the number one?

- Can there be space, can there be time, except for me? Space and time bind me, only if I am the body, I am nowhere, I am timeless I exist everywhere and always.

- Both the wise and the ignorant regard the body as ‘I’. The ignorant limit the ‘I’ to the body. For the wise, the Self shines in the heart, limitless, including the body and the world.

- To the ignorant and for the wise, the world exists. The ignorant regard the world alone as real. For the wise, the formless source of the seen, is real, complete.

- The controversy whether fate is stronger than free-will or vice versa is only for those who do not know their source. Those who know the individual for whom they pertain remain untouched by them.

- To see God as apart from the seer is only a mental image since God is not separate from the seer. To abide in the poise of the Self is true vision of God.
