As life is getting more and more engaged with technology, which is in one hand making things easier and enjoyable, it is putting us at the edge of extreme pressure, ‘stress’, often called in today’s world. Affect of stress is visible in every single step we move from morning till evening. As it is a negative responding vibration, it lowers a persons productivity tremendously and hinders self improvement. Meditation can be the best medicine for this painful daily affair.

What is Meditation

In a general sense, meditation means to sit in straight position keeping backbone, neck and head in one line so that the flow of ‘pranic energy’ can easily move from lower state to higher state. The next point is to find an object of person’s interest. It can be anything else from observing one’s own breathing, focusing on a point or imagining anything that can be a flower, a part of the blue sky, a beautiful garden or even an excellent moment of one’s life. The next question is how much time one should invest in meditation.

Daily Time for Meditation

Time varies from a beginner to an experienced practioner. A beginner can set a time from 10 minute and slowly increase it to 20 minutes. Almost all the recent articles suggest a two time practice daily.

How Mediation Helps

First of all, it’s not a instant remedy or solution of any problem in life concerning from health, job, self-development or whatever can be. It’s a lengthy process. It needs time and constant practice. Someone starting mediation today cannot expect a miracle happening one week later. If it happens, then it’s an extraordinary event!!

A regular practice unfolds many things about one’s own feeling. It cools the inner self down, let the practitioner to have more insight about him/her self. Emotion, anger and all other negative attitudes slowly dissolves with ego and turns towards positive attitude. It gives more and more control over one’s own self. Health improves, mind settles down in calmness and the practioner develops amazingly.

Secret of Meditation

The main key in meditation is the lowering of vibrations. When someone is excited or angry, body shakes or trembles as the vibrations go higher. On the other hand in a prayer room we feel comfortable and relaxed as the vibration is very low. Continuous practice let all higher vibrations disappear and lower vibrations become a constant matter in everyday life. At this point someone is already improved.

How far to go

Depends. The purpose of a monk is to merge with the higher consciousness, while a normal person can drive it frits for worldly benefits which in fact makes a way for higher levels of meditation.

Is there Any Risk of Meditation

Like daily physical exercises, mediation is a mental exercise. Mind is always connected to body. Too intense mediation at the beginning can cause some unusual feeling for the practioner. It is therefore always advisable to start practicing under an experienced teacher, a ‘Guru’ and enjoy the everlasting benefits of mediation.

When someone knows his/her own self better through mediation, the person is already an improved being.
