It is a human condition for us to feel "less than" others. Perhaps it is the need we feel to "keep up with the Joneses" or our own lack of self worth or lack of self esteem. For instance you may have recently been to a party, social event or restaurant and felt that you were not up to the same level as all of the "beautiful people" there.
Perhaps they had suits or dresses that were custom designed and tailored.
Or they were slimmer.
Or their hair was less gray.
Or perhaps these people drove up to the front door and left the keys to their expensive, new Mercedes, BMWs and Cadillacs with the valet attendant while you "self parked" your tired, 10-year-old car w-a-a-a-a-y in the back of the lot so that no one would notice.
Do physical traits or material possessions prove or mean that they are more successful or better than you?
Of course not!
It all comes down to what I call - THE ATTITUDE OF YOUR MIND. Your mind and the attitude of your mind affects your facial expressions, selects the actions that you make (and you know that every action affects everything you achieve in life), affects your physical health, regulates your life and your interactions with others.
At this point many of you, especially those who are "set" in your ways, may ask: "How can I change the attitude of my mind? How can I, after months and years of discouragement and of going through the motions, suddenly conceive and carry out a plan for doing something that will change my current situation and make my life more rewarding?"
The answer is that it can be done, and others just like you have done it.
Do you consider yourself of AVERAGE ability? Even if you do, you can still be successful, independent, free of worry AND be the designer AND master of your future if you will commit to do these two things, forever.
1) Einstein once defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. How about what you are doing? Do get what you want, when you want it? Then become and remain forever dissasitfied with what you are doing today and your current situation in life. Plain and simple - Aim high and SHOOT for the moon.
2) Develop in your mind a belief that the word IMPOSSIBLE was not intended for you. Build up in your mind the confidence and courage that enables the mind to use its power.
"If you think you are too small to make an impact, try going to bed with a mosquito in the room" said the author Bette Reese.
So in conclusion, here's the moral of my story to you...
Size DOES matter. Within you, even at this very moment you have the power to take action and make an impact.
It is up to you...

What is the reason for this ????
By: shoppers25 | 17-08-2008
My neighbour is married with a child and has chosen to live in the household with a separation agreement ( not a legal one.just an agreement). His wife went to family court 2 1/2 years ago to get a court order for maintenance and child support and takes it out of his pay every week from work. In march of this year the neighbour became unemployed and started to send his mail to my home. I got upset and we argued. He does not speak to me now and I sent his mail back to the sender. He feels he cannot trust me , nor respects me. He is sending his mail to someone else's address while he still lives with his wife as husband and wife. Why does he not move out??? Why does he need to send his mail to me??? What is he trying to do ??? Why am I in this situation ???

I am 37 and been with my husband who is 39 for 23 years and have 3 lovely boys 11, 8 and 3 we also own and run our own business as I truely believe we were soul mates/best friends. I do love him and he says he loves me but wait for it.... he has been sleeping with prostitutes for the last 2 years. Our sex life has never been good or often and its a wonder I have three lovely boys but I had tried over the years - obviously not enough.... he says its only sex/relief from stress and its physical not emotional (he also does gym which I would of thought eased stress) etc and I said if that was the case couldn't we do it all the time and than he said its different because they are young, thin etc as you guessed it I'm not twiggy I was very big but so was he up to two years ago when we both had a lap band put in - I'm now the smallest I've been since my teens but still weight 89 kilos (should be 68). Is it just a mid life crisis - do I forgive him? do I let him keep doing it as I hate sex and am happy to live without it (I really only need it once every couple of months) - what do I do.... I'm so confused. Maybe I should do it too sounds like he hasn't fulfilled me either and maybe I will be better serviced by a prostitute. oh god what do I do.... I've always put my boys first - I'm a mother first I guess that shows - is two out of three really not to bad? is it a fairy tale to think you can have it all? where do I go from here.... Regards Heather

But It's Still a Pig
By: Keith Shaw | 11/09/2008 | Self Improvement
Yes, it is true. No matter whether it is lipstick, perfume or a tuxedo, a pig is still a pig. However, it did stimulate me to think about the way that people communicate. You see, phenomenally successful people work constantly on their "people skills". The first, and most critical, area is the relationships you have with others as well as what and how you COMMUNICATE in those relationships.
