"I am not on this earth by chance. I am here for a purpose and that purpose is not to shrink into a grain of sand but to grow into a mountain. Henceforth I will strain my potential until it cries for mercy..." Og Mandino.
What if we are holding ourselves small like a grain of sand when in fact we are destined to become mountains? What if we were missing the majority of gifts that life has to offer? Consider the possibility that there is a whole warehouse full of unclaimed gifts that has your name on it!
Is it possible that we are not allowing ourselves to dream big, think big and really go for what we want 100%? We might think we are less than what we really are. In the process of forgetting who we are, we are shutting ourselves off from the normal and natural flow of abundance.
The process of remembering who we are is not always easy. But this little grain of sand, when tried and tested in the fire, becomes glass. This piece of glass can be used to shape your cup of life. With this cup we scoop up the gifts waiting for us in the warehouse. The smaller the grain of sand, the smaller the cup of your life, the smaller the gifts you think you are entitled to. The good news is that we can smash our existing cup by firstly becoming aware of it.
One way of smashing your cup is to also look at the language you use. For one person a certain event might be very traumatic. Think about going on a roller coaster. For my mom this would be a horrific experience. The same experience for me is exhilarating, exciting and lots of fun. We have the same butterfly feeling in our stomach, and yet by just labeling it differently, we can change our experience.
Consider also that our reality is a delayed reaction to our consciousness. When last have we really paid attention to what went on inside and what we are feeding our mind?, What are we thinking? What thoughts are we choosing consciously and which thoughts are we just thrown to think? Watch the conversation going on in your mind right now. Nine out of ten times that conversation is holding us small, keeping us unmotivated, causing us to procrastinate for some or other reason. Well, what if your ability to act is completely independent of your thinking and feeling?
Dr Masaru Emoto, a Japanese water physician studied the power of our words and the effect it has on water for years. What has put Dr. Emoto at the forefront of the study of water is his proof that thoughts and feelings affect physical reality. By producing different focused intentions through written and spoken words & literally presenting it to the same water samples, the water appears to "change its expression". He found that water from clear springs & water that has been exposed to loving words shows brilliant, complex, and colorful snowflake patters. In contrast water exposed to negative thoughts, forms incomplete, A-symmetrical patterns with dull colors.
The implications of this research create a new awareness of how we can positively impact the earth, ourselves and each other. This is very significant for us as human beings as we are composed of two thirds of water. So just imagine what is happening inside your body right now.
Take a moment and just imagine what we can change in our life by just firstly choosing our own words. We can choose to hold ourselves small by walking small and talking small or we could choose the opposite. We can think big, create mountains and realize our true worth. So go on and choose your words carefully, then create the biggest cup you can for your life! This is your destiny, this is your purpose. Stand out, stand tall! Remember who you are and live from today with the knowing that you are a mountain!
