Imagine if you were place in a dark room filled with furniture and you had to make your way across. In the darkness your progress would be slower, and you would likely get more bruises.

Many years ago it was believed that when a child was born, he was a complete human being and that the best we could do was fill his or her head with as much information as possible, in order for the individual to go as far as he could, with the abilities he/she was born with. The only thing we could do to further the results was to polish the manners and personality.

Today, we know that is completely false. It has been scientifically proven that the powers within are virtually unlimited and can be expressed in the outer world, if time and effort are taken to evolve the body and its invisible counterparts.

Therefore spiritual illumination, which can eliminate daily miseries, evolves to the extent that a conscious effort is made to self develop.

The key to all the success and happiness you desire lies within each and every one of you. Read that last line again.

Furthermore, in the big picture, grief from poverty, disease, and death will cease once we understand the part it plays in human evolution. Once we understand their meaning and lessons, these teachers will vanish from our physical reality.

All suffering small and large comes from our ignorance, therefore the more we self develop, the sooner we can move away from our own daily miseries.

The truth is that we are either growing or dying, just like in nature. We are never at the same spot for very long.

Every human being is making the evolutionary journey. However you can choose to cooperate with it or you can choose to resist it. If you choose to grow consciously and work intelligently with nature, you will make faster progress and avoid much of what Hamlet called "the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. "

Some people are very content with their lot in life therefore they may consciously choose not to develop further. However with time, they will find that degeneration starts to occur. Inaction causes atrophy.

Other folks may feel that the effort required to change is too great or they may be feeling overwhelmed. However to shirk responsibility is the road to degeneration. In other words, inaction, apathy, idleness, uselessness, is the road to degeneration. On the other hand, aspiration, and activity mean growth, personal development and power.
