Article Marketing Success – 4 Tips to a More Appealing Article

The more appealing an article is, the more successful it will be. The most appealing articles, submitted to the appropriate directories, may garnish your website with numerous links, increase your traffic levels, and build trust in your brand. If you also intend to include your article on your own website then you can improve conversions, further increase traffic, and promote your pages through social networking.

1 - Know Your Target Market

Every article is likely to appeal to a slightly different demographic of potential customer. Each has their own unique needs and their own requirements. It's important that you learn to understand these needs and requirements and then meet them using the context of your article. Everything including the title of your piece, the directories you submit to, and the author resource box needs to appeal to your target market.

2 – About The Author

Writing for article submissions is very different to writing for your own website. You don't have the opportunity to directly promote your service until the very last paragraph. The About The Author paragraph is where the magic really needs to happen. In a limited amount of space you need to be able to accurately convey the service or product you offer, why potential customers need to visit your site, and it needs to include one or two search engine friendly links.

3 – Anticipate And Answer Questions

The most appealing article content answers questions that your readers are asking. By using point 1 you should be able to determine or anticipate what these questions will be. Ask the questions in the article, and then answer those same questions. You don't necessarily need to give everything away but by providing this information you are helping to pre-sell the concept of your products or services, making the sale on your website a little easier.

4 – Be Authoritative

Offering an authoritative voice helps readers to believe what you say and builds trust in your brand. This trust will, again, help with pre-selling your products or services. Because you are unable to directly promote yourself until the final paragraph of your article, you will need to be authoritative in voice and narrative style, as well as in the information you provide. It's also vital that you make that last paragraph, the About The Author paragraph, count.
