Back linking is the most important linking strategy of all the avenues for Internet marketing. The rule for Back linking is very simple. The more links pointing towards your website the better for your page rank, search engine indexing and site traffic.

Search Google for websites or blogs which are similar to your keywords. Visit popular blogs, read the articles, and post your comments. It is important that the blog websites should have the ability to display your URL.

When you visit any high ranking website, check if they have a link exchange facility. You can submit links to directories. If you have a software which allows you to submit to 40 or 50 free directories a day it is good for your website ranking. The importance of Social networking websites are growing for link building. Search engines are indexing live results from micro blogging sites like Twitter. These websites are creating a huge number of links every day.

Mostly there are two factors effecting Page Ranks. Other sites contain inbound links with less relevancy and competition within the niche. Definitely poetry sites are less competitive than business directory or online marketing sites. Page Rank could be harder to build in highly competitive niches.
