White Hat strictly follows major search engines’ guidelines and "Black Hat" resorts to spamming the search engines to secure short-cuts to high ranking. Spamming can be over submitting your website to these search engines or stuffing the code of your website in such a way that it tricks the search engines to give your site high ranking. However, most SEO experts feel that as long as the tactics benefits the site owners and do not violate basic search engines guidelines, they are ethical.
