The quality of your site plays a big role in where you are placed. You want to build a very informative, keyword rich site, all the while staying focused on your the thing you built your site for. Study the sites that are ranked first in a search engine to see what you may need to do to improve your sites placement. Pay attention to where you put your key words and most of all be an original.
There are a lot of other things you can do to improve your search engine placement, but it is very tedious and sometimes just plain stressful. The other option available to improving your placement is either by hiring a search engine placement specialist to do it for you or buying the software that will make improving your search engine placement a heck of a lot easier.
